According to the report, after 4 months of implementing Plan No. 61/KH-UBND dated January 23, 2025, the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses has become a comprehensive movement, mobilizing and concentrating a variety of resources from the central to local levels and the initiative of poor and near-poor households to have stable and safe housing and improve their quality of life.

Local authorities at all levels must closely follow the situation, be proactive, flexible, creative, determined, and resolute in implementing tasks and solutions to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses within their authority.

According to Plan No. 61, the province has 540 poor and near-poor households approved to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with a total cost of VND 26,580 billion, of which 346 households will be newly built and 194 households will be repaired. Up to now, districts and cities have received and are implementing support for 280 houses (of which 279 will be newly built and 1 will be repaired). In phase 1/2025, the province started construction of 113 houses, of which 73 will be handed over for use. Phase 2/2025 is expected to complete 167 houses before June 30. Phase 3 is expected to complete 260 houses before July 15.

For 500 houses from the Ministry of Public Security's 30 billion VND budget, the model house has been completed and is striving to complete before June 30, 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi suggested that time is running out, so all levels, sectors and localities need to be determined and join hands to implement the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households according to schedule and requirements.
The Department of Finance and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province need to transfer money to localities to do it immediately and must complete it before June 30. The commune level urges and mobilizes more human resources to quickly implement the construction of houses for people.

There are no difficulties in implementing the construction of 540 houses under the Prime Minister's Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Localities must be determined and focus on completing it before June 30, 2025.

For housing funded by the Ministry of Public Security, local Party committees and authorities, together with other levels and sectors, will coordinate. The provincial police will coordinate with districts and cities to urgently and thoroughly review and avoid duplication with households that are eligible to build houses from sources being implemented by other units so that people can soon have housing and stabilize their lives.
For the remaining 640 houses, agencies and units will review sources and continue to mobilize and call for people to soon have housing and stabilize their lives.
