- From April 21 to May 20, 2025, according to the plan of the Traffic Police Department, the Traffic Police force of Lang Son province will launch a peak period to handle traffic safety violations and improve the effectiveness of handling violations according to Decree 168 of the Government. The focus of the plan is to seriously implement plans, schemes and measures to ensure traffic safety and order during the holidays; strictly implement the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety and propagate to people to maintain the habit of complying with road traffic laws.
Accordingly, the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police directed its subordinate teams and stations to simultaneously launch a peak month of patrolling, controlling and handling violations of traffic safety and order (TSO), combined with promoting propaganda work. With the spirit of absolute respect for the law "no forbidden zones, no exceptions", inspection, control and handling are strict, flexible and effective to deter,educate and create positive changes in awareness and compliance with legal regulations of traffic participants. At the same time, detect existing problems and inadequacies to propose measures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management work on ensuring TTATGT in the whole province.
Senior Lieutenant Trieu Trung Anh, an officer of the Road Traffic Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police, said: The team is responsible for ensuring traffic safety on National Highway 4B. The unit has proactively deployed plans to ensure traffic safety early, increased patrols during rush hours on the assigned route to detect and strictly handle traffic safety violations; coordinated with the police of localities where the national highway passes through to organize traffic flow, promptly clear incidents and obstacles, prevent accidents and congestion. In addition, we encourage businesses not to encroach on the roadway and sidewalks of National Highway 4B, strictly handle acts of illegal parking, encroachment on sidewalks, parking in the wrong direction, parking at prohibited spots, etc.
With the determination to control and reduce traffic accidents on national highways, provincial roads, and inter-commune roads under the assigned management area, according to data provided by the authorities, from April 21 to May 12, 2025, the Traffic Police force of the whole province conducted 850 patrols and inspections, with 3,810 officers and soldiers participating. Thereby, 10,057 vehicles of all types (motorbikes and cars) were inspected; 1,584 violations were detected and recorded; 102 driving licenses and professional certificates were temporarily seized; 596 vehicles were temporarily detained... Compared to the previous three weeks of the peak implementation period, the number of violations handled decreased by nearly 400 cases, the number of vehicles temporarily detained decreased by nearly 200 cases... In which, the main violations and errors related to road transport activities are: carrying more people than the prescribed number; carrying overloaded or oversized goods; stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers in the wrong place; violating alcohol and drug concentrations; speeding; avoiding and overtaking in violation of regulations; driving in the wrong part of the road or lane...
Mr. Loc Van Hai, Gia Cat commune, Cao Loc district shared: I often participate in traffic on National Highway 4B, when participating in traffic, I always comply with the provisions of the law to ensure safety. In particular, I always comply with the regulations of not driving after drinking alcohol, always drive at the correct speed, road section, and lane.
In addition, on railway routes, the Traffic Police Department coordinates with the Railway sector to inspect and handle violations that cause loss of railway traffic safety, especially at level crossings and self-opened paths. The inland waterway traffic sector is also being tightly managed, especially routes and areas with spontaneous points that do not meet operating conditions... Up to now, there have been no violations or unfortunate accidents in both of these sectors.
Lieutenant Colonel Phuong Thuc Dinh, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police, said: In the coming time, the Traffic Police Department will continue to mobilize the maximum number of officers and soldiers to participate in ensuring traffic safety in the province. The unit's goal is to ensure smooth traffic, while aiming to create a healthy and civilized traffic environment, raising people's awareness of obeying traffic safety laws. In particular, the Traffic Police Department focuses on deploying regular forces on key national and provincial highways, especially on routes with high traffic volume to promptly regulate and support people to participate in smooth traffic, avoiding traffic jams during peak days.
According to the plan, the peak period of ensuring traffic safety this time will end in exactly 1 week. However, in order to ensure traffic safety on all traffic routes, the traffic police force in the whole province will regularly patrol, control, and strictly handle violations of traffic safety, thereby reducing accidents and traffic congestion in the province.
