Grasping the trend of people and vehicles increasing dramatically during the holidays, the construction industry of Dong Thap province has deployed plans and projects to meet the maximum travel needs of the people, contributing to ensuring security, order and traffic safety during the holidays.


Quoc Hoang Company Limited (Cao Lanh City) ensures to serve well the travel needs of people and tourists during the April 30 - May 1 holidays.

It is forecasted that during this year's holiday, the travel demand of people and tourists will increase by about 50% - 60% compared to normal days. Bus stations and transport businesses have organized additional trips and prepared spare vehicles to best serve passengers. To ensure the increased demand during this holiday, Quoc Hoang Company Limited (Cao Lanh City) proactively increased the number of buses running on all routes each day by 50% and did not increase ticket prices. To meet the travel needs of residents and tourists, Dong Thap Department of Construction has requested transport businesses to operate fixed routes, develop plans to increase the number of passengers on the routes, and reserve drivers and vehicles to be ready to participate in transportation to relieve passengers stuck at bus stations. In addition, during peak days, for public passenger transport businesses by bus, the Department of Construction requires the units to arrange vehicles to ensure the quantity and quality of vehicles participating in activities on the routes; have plans to increase frequency and operating hours during peak days to promptly relieve passengers when the number of passengers suddenly increases; strengthen inspection and supervision, and enhance the responsibility of traffic safety departments.

For public passenger transport businesses by taxi, they must renovate their vehicles, ensure quantity and quality to serve the people's travel needs well; collect the correct fares approved by competent authorities; remind drivers to strictly comply with the Law on Traffic Safety and Order, the Road Law and other regulations; strictly prohibit the use of alcohol, beer and stimulants during working hours, prohibit speeding, competing for customers, forcing prices, and overloading.

For passenger transport business units on fixed routes, there must be a plan to arrange enough vehicles, drivers, and service staff on the vehicles; develop a backup plan or increase vehicles and traffic safety work to meet transportation needs; absolutely do not put vehicles that do not ensure technical safety on the road; thoroughly educate and disseminate to drivers and service staff on the vehicles to comply with regulations on continuous driving time and driving time during the day, absolutely do not drive vehicles when there is alcohol concentration in the blood and breath; do not increase fares or if there are, they must comply with measures to stabilize transportation fares according to the direction of the Government and relevant ministries and branches. Units proactively sell tickets in advance to passengers in many appropriate forms to facilitate people who need to buy tickets; implement the posting and collection of correct fares approved by competent authorities; comply with the order to mobilize and clear passengers of the Bus Station Management Board when necessary; It is strictly forbidden to transport smuggled goods, goods of unknown origin, prohibited goods... on vehicles.

Regarding the Bus Station Management Board, the Department of Construction requires that it organizes, assigns specific tasks, arranges staff at the bus station to guide, support, and prioritize passengers entering and leaving the station to conveniently buy tickets and use other services at the station; promotes the forms of selling and booking tickets online and by phone; publicly lists ticket prices and transportation services; creates the greatest convenience for people who need to buy tickets, and at the same time has measures to prevent and combat ticket speculation and trading, not to let the situation of increasing ticket prices against regulations cause social disorder; applies and properly implements the process of ensuring traffic safety for vehicles entering and leaving the station; strengthens the inspection and control of the technical condition of vehicles before leaving the station; resolutely does not allow vehicles that do not ensure technical safety to leave the station according to regulations...
