On the morning of June 27, on social networks, images of clouds appearing in the sky over Sam Son beach, Thanh Hoa province, resembling a tsunami, appeared.

Mr. Nguyen Dan (photographer in Sam Son city) said that this phenomenon occurred at around 7am on June 27, in the area from the end of D beach to FLC resort (Quang Cu ward, Sam Son city).

"The cloud was several hundred meters long, like a tsunami rolling into the mainland. Seeing the strange shape of the cloud, I took the opportunity to take a photo as a souvenir," said Mr. Dan.

According to Mr. Dan, the cloud appeared for about 10 minutes, then there was heavy rain in Sam Son city.

Ms. Do Thi Thi, forecaster of Thanh Hoa Hydrometeorological Station, said this is a cumulonimbus arcus cloud.

"This cloud is formed through the dynamic processes of rising warm air and colder air masses from the north. After these air masses interact with each other, it will lead to the characteristic of a long-lasting cloud cover. This phenomenon often appears before strong thunderstorms," said Ms. Thi.

Previously on June 11, in the sky of Thanh Hoa province, many people were extremely excited by the appearance of a five-colored cloud.
