Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung's working delegation inspected the damage recovery situation caused by storm No. 13 and visited people's lives in Quy Nhon Dong ward, Tuy Phuoc Dong commune and De Gi commune.

In Quy Nhon Dong ward, storm No. 13 injured 2 people; 1,255 houses were damaged (25 houses collapsed completely); more than 36 hectares of ponds were damaged, 44 boats were damaged; many schools had their roofs blown off, trees fell, and facilities were damaged... Total damage to the ward was estimated at about 177 billion VND.

In Tuy Phuoc Dong commune, 91 houses were completely collapsed, 1,299 houses had their roofs blown off and were severely damaged; 3,188 households had their houses flooded. In addition, the lighting system, educational , cultural and medical infrastructure were also severely damaged by the storm. Total damage was estimated at nearly 175 billion VND.

In De Gi commune, 8 houses were completely collapsed; 700 houses had their roofs blown off, 487 houses were flooded; 6 ships sank. The damaged aquaculture area was estimated at 166 hectares and 2,000 tons of salt reserves. The initial estimate of total property damage caused by storm No. 13 in the commune was over 240 billion VND.

After the on-site inspection, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung shared the difficulties with local authorities regarding the serious damage caused by storm No. 13. At the same time, he requested communes and wards to carry out the fastest, most drastic and most effective work to overcome the consequences, with the highest goal of stabilizing people's lives soon.
“In the immediate future, do not let people go hungry, lack clothes, or have no place to live. Focus on repairing essential works such as transportation, electricity, telecommunications, and schools; organize environmental cleaning, repair headquarters of agencies and units, and ensure that activities return to normal as soon as possible,” Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung noted.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung also visited the cases of houses completely collapsed due to storm No. 13 in the localities. Here, the Deputy Prime Minister shared, encouraged and gave gifts to the families; at the same time, requested the local authorities to soon deploy support for the families to rebuild their houses to stabilize their lives.
On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister awarded 60 million VND to 20 families whose houses were completely collapsed in 3 localities to rebuild their houses; and 150 gifts (worth over 2 million VND each) to those affected by storm No.
