Dam Vinh Hung hospitalized after falling on stage

American singer Dam Vinh Hung had to get many stitches on his right foot after falling while singing at a show in Orange County, California.

The singer said that while singing, he stepped on a water tank with many people dancing around it. The singer tried to stand on the water spray but slipped and the tank fell, crushing his foot. The injury was so deep that he was taken to a local hospital. "I am very tired and in pain now. The doctor gave me many stitches in my leg and said it will severely affect my ability to walk. I need to rest for a month to recover," the singer said.

According to Dam Vinh Hung, the incident greatly affected his practice and recording schedule as well as his performance spirit for the live show Ngay em den sao troi in March. Therefore, he decided to postpone the show to May 4 in Ho Chi Minh City and May 18 in Hanoi .

"I feel guilty that the show did not go as planned, I hope everyone understands. I will try to heal my injuries, to soon meet my fans and close friends in the country," the singer said.

He said that those who have bought tickets and cannot arrange to watch the live show according to the new schedule and want a refund will be resolved by the singer's team.

Dam Vinh Hung, 53 years old, from Quang Nam , won the fourth prize of the Ho Chi Minh City Television Singing Contest in 1998. In the early 2000s, he attracted attention with two songs: Tinh oi xin ngu yen, Binh minh se mang em di . He continued to release the albums Hung (2004), Da khuc cho tinh nhan (2005), Tinh ca noi niem (2006), Giai thoat (2007).
