On the afternoon of May 29, a delegation of artists from Ho Chi Minh City on a journey to the source , following the footsteps of the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1975, offered incense and flowers at the special national historical site of Buon Ma Thuot prison ( Dak Lak province).

The special national historical site of Buon Ma Thuot prison is the place where many national heroes were imprisoned such as: Ho Tung Mau, Phan Dang Luu, Nguyen Chi Thanh, To Huu, Hong Chuong, Bui San, Tran Van Quang, Ngo Duc Do, Ngo Xuan Ham...

On this occasion, the delegation also learned about the Buon Ma Thuot victory, which was the key battle leading to the victory of the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1975.

Participating in the journey back to the source were many members of the HCM City artist volunteer team. These are young faces, who have contributed a lot to community activities and are inspirational.

MC Quynh Hoa - deputy director of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House, captain of the Ho Chi Minh City Artist Volunteer Team - told Tuoi Tre Online that she had traveled to many provinces and cities, visited many historical sites, but this time she was very moved when she directly heard the emotional commentary.

"Reading newspapers and watching TV, we will not fully understand the real stories about each place and historical relic. When visiting the special national historical relic Buon Ma Thuot prison, I was truly moved.

We need to promote more to young people about historical sites in a practical way, this is also the best way to learn history. Through each trip, young people have more works of art, new perspectives on historical sites.

Singer Minh Sang - champion of the show Shining Stars - shared that he was lucky and honored to participate in the journey to the source 2025.

Minh Sang told Tuoi Tre Online : "During the journey, I visited and learned about many historical sites, learned more about the great sacrifices of our ancestors, the heroic martyrs, and the important victories that contributed to the victory in the spring of 1975, unifying the country.

"The journey back to the source is a valuable experience. I love my country more and appreciate peace more, and understand better the responsibility of the young generation in preserving peace and developing the country" - Minh Sang confided.

The Ho Chi Minh City artist volunteer team supported the organizing committee in connecting artists and singers in the delegation, practicing, preparing exchange performances, and serving people in the localities where the delegation stopped.

MC Quynh Hoa said: "We invited artists of all generations to join us and practice performances for local people - places that still lack spiritual life."

Quynh Hoa said the weather at the art program in Ia Grai district, Gia Lai province was not very favorable. The continuous rain prevented the crew from running the program, and it was still raining when the program started. However, the program lasted for a while before the rain stopped completely.

"It's okay for artists to sing in the rain, I'm just worried that people sitting on the bench will get wet. God has mercy so the show will take place when the rain stops" - MC Quynh Hoa confided.
