Dam Vinh Hung cried after watching the MV expressing his feelings about the incident, and declared that he "didn't pay much attention" when he lost the right to sing the hit song "Sorry Love".

On the afternoon of May 28, Dam Vinh Hung held a press conference to launch the album Youth is not for crying and announced a series of music nights across Vietnam.

This activity marks his return after many events such as being banned from performing for 9 months and a lawsuit with billionaire Gerard Williams.

After releasing the MV for the song Don't Ask Me Like That , Dam Vinh Hung was moved to tears when he received applause from artists and the media.

He said this song by musician Dong Thien Duc "pulled out all his heart and soul", helping him express his feelings after the incident. "Only now can I shed a little tear" - Dam Vinh Hung said.

Musician Dong Thien Duc said that when he knew Dam Vinh Hung would return with this album, he composed another song, "Don't Ask Me Like That," with lyrics dedicated to Dam Vinh Hung, expressing the singer's feelings.

In the MV, Dam Vinh Hung portrays himself, a famous singer but in a desperate mood. Receiving calls from his manager and lover, he feels stressed and lonely. He walks in the rain, letting go of his umbrella to get wet. At that moment, someone comes to protect him, that is his son Polo.

Dam Vinh Hung sang live many songs in the album such as "Anh dau tu luc em di", "Don't worry co a ky", "Yeu roi de do", "Nhot em va tam tri"... He said he had abandoned his previous "crazy", "screaming", struggling singing style and listened to the advice of his colleagues to sing more restrainedly and emotionally.

In addition, the singer said that in 30 years of musical activities, he has encountered many storms. "Youth is not for crying" is the message he tells himself.

Don't sing Sorry Love

Recently, there was information that the song Xin loi tinh yeu , one of the songs by musician Minh Nhien, had been "purchased the exclusive lifetime rights to use by billionaire Gerard Wiliams". Therefore, Dam Vinh Hung will not be able to sing Xin loi tinh yeu , the hit that has been associated with his name for the past 20 years.

Dam Vinh Hung did not mention billionaire Gerard Williams' name but confirmed that he was not allowed to sing "Xin loi tinh yeu".

"I'm never going to sing that song on any stage again for a while, whatever, I don't really care," he said.

I thank Minh Nhien for being so kind to me over the past ten years. Now I have 14 more songs of Sorry Love . The proof is there for everyone to see, there was a lot of applause and cheering.

My nature has always been the same, not to erode old glory but to wait for new things, wanting to create something even newer. In these 14 songs, there will definitely be 4 or 5 hits."

Along with the album and MV, Dam Vinh Hung announced a series of comeback shows including 6 nights in May and June. The first show is at Khong Ten tea room (HCMC) on May 30 (sold out) and June 1.

On May 31, Dam Vinh Hung will sing at Trixie Tea Room ( Hanoi ). Next are the dates on June 7 at Lululola (Da Lat) with guests Le Quyen, Duong Trieu Vu, Quoc Thien; June 13 at New Phuong Dong (Da Nang)...
