'Forensic Heroes' cast after 17 years

Forensic Heroes is TVB's most popular investigative drama. 17 years after the success of the show, Mong Ka-hui and Chung Ka-han have retired to their private lives, and Au-yeung Chun-hwa and Lam Man-long have also not appeared much on screen.

Bobby Au Yeung

At the time of filming Forensic Heroes , Bobby Au-Yeung was already a popular name through many investigative and crime-solving works: Detective Files, The Secret Curtain, Reaction Force ... In the film, the actor plays Cao Ngan Bac - the head of the forensic team with excellent skills. He possesses an intelligent brain, sharp intuition, and sharp eyes thanks to many years of dedication to the profession. Boss Cao always believes: "People can lie but evidence cannot" and is determined to find the truth hidden in each case.

Although not possessing an outstanding appearance like many other TVB actors, Bobby Au-Yeung won over the audience with his natural and attractive acting, portraying a dignified and intelligent Cao Ngan Bac. The male artist born in 1960 is considered the "soul" of the film, a name that guarantees the quality and appeal of the work. After the success of part 1, "boss Cao" continued to appear in Forensic Heroes 2 (2008) and was warmly received by the audience.

After Forensic Heroes , Bobby Au-yeung is still the most sought-after name on TVB, participating in many major projects of the station. In recent years, the 63-year-old star has been acting regularly but is no longer as active as before. In 2021, he returned to TVB screens with the film Exposing Crime but did not achieve the expected success. Currently, the actor is living a happy life with his wife Pho Khiet Nhan. They have lived together for more than 27 years and are still closely attached despite having no children.

When she took on the female lead role in Forensic Heroes , Mong Ka-hui was one of the most sought-after stars in Hong Kong. In 2019, the actor surprised the public when he revealed that he was taking on the position of Vice President of ATV (Hong Kong). The star born in 1967 is also admired for his happy marriage with Quach Kha Doanh. The couple got married in 2004 and have a 13-year-old daughter.

Chung Ka-Hun

During the time of filming Forensic Heroes , Chung Ka-Hin was a young face that TVB was promoting. The actress born in 1984 played the role of Lam Thanh Thanh - a new employee of the forensic department, enthusiastic, lively, mischievous and cute. She had a beautiful love affair with doctor Co Trach Tham but then sacrificed herself at the beginning of part 2, making the audience feel regretful at the tragic ending of the most beloved couple in the series.

Proof of Steel brought Chung Gia Han's name to a new level and she became the most expensive actress on TVB at that time. After the hit work, the beauty continued to make a splash with Stormy Family, Strength of Love, Marrying a Rich Husband, School of Secret Police, The Whirlwind of Life... The film gathered a series of old actors and added Charmaine Sheh and Kevin Cheng to join the main cast. In 2011, TVB continued to release Forensic Heroes 3 with a prominent cast: Law Yiu-Cheung, Cheung Kha-Di, Tsui Zi-San, Ng Chuk-Hy... and the content was unrelated to the previous 2 parts. In 2020, the Hong Kong station released Forensic Heroes 4 with Wong Hao-Ran, Dam Chun-Yan, Lee Shi-Wa, Chan Wai... in the main roles, in an effort to save the situation of plummeting ratings. Last year, Forensic Heroes 5 aired with the participation of Wong Tsung-Tse, Yuen Wai-Ho, Cai Si-Bei, Cai Jie...

The recent parts of Forensic Heroes have achieved certain success but their appeal has gradually decreased and they cannot avoid being compared to the first part and have difficulty overcoming the shadow of the old cast.
