BHG - In recent years, the Provincial Police Party Committee has always paid attention to and encouraged cadres and party members to participate in competitions launched by the Central and the province. One of the important competitions that cadres and party members of the Provincial Police Party Committee are interested in is the Political Writing Competition to protect the Party's ideological foundation and fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints (Political Writing Competition).

In the past 2 years, actively responding to the Political Writing Contest launched by the province, the Provincial Police Party Committee has paid attention to directing the organization of the Political Writing Contest in the Police force; developing plans and regulations for the implementation of the contest launched by the Provincial Party Committee. Thereby, contributing to promoting the movement of studying and learning political theory in the force. It is known that up to now, the Provincial Police Party Committee is one of the few Party Committees under the province to organize a political writing contest at its level. The contest is organized in a systematic manner and quality works will be selected to participate in the provincial contest.

Responding to the Political Contest launched by the Provincial Police Party Committee, the agencies and units under the Provincial Police have actively deployed it to help cadres and party members understand the viewpoints and significance of the contest. From there, it has attracted the active participation of the units, helping the Provincial Police Party Committee to organize well the 2 contests in 2023 and 2024.

In the last two competitions, the competitions were organized quite successfully by the Provincial Police Party Committee. The Internal Political Security Department was assigned to be the Standing Committee to organize and implement the competition. At the same time, the Provincial Police established the Organizing Committee, the Jury, and the Secretariat of the competitions; invited judges from the provincial press agencies such as Ha Giang Newspaper, the Provincial Radio and Television Station to increase the professionalism in selecting works and to contribute opinions to improve the quality of the competition.

From the response of units in the force, dozens of works are selected to participate in the contest launched by the Provincial Police Party Committee every year in various categories, including: Printed newspapers, magazines, electronic newspapers and television. According to the assessment of the members of the Jury of the 2024 Provincial Police Political Writing Contest, comparing the 2 years of implementing the contest in the Police force, it is clear to see an increase in the quantity and quality of works participating in the contest. Thinking and writing ability has also been improved, and at the same time, new writers have appeared; there are potential writers not only in provincial departments and offices but also in police units of districts, cities, police of communes, wards and towns. There are also new soldiers who are enthusiastic about participating in the contest; in departments, offices and units that seem to have few people with a writing inclination, but have good articles that have won prizes; writers from the district police with many practical evidence and rich theories. In particular, in the writing force, there are many young cadres, showing that the theoretical and practical research movement is not only for those with many years of experience, but is also increasingly attracting the attention of young people, which is a very encouraging thing.

The 2024 Political Writing Contest of the Provincial Police recorded 64 entries submitted by units, departments, and police departments of districts and cities. Of these, there were 19 printed newspaper entries, 17 electronic newspaper entries, 22 magazine entries, and 6 television entries. This is a remarkable number in terms of the spirit of participation in the contest among the Police force. At the same time, the Provincial Police applied scanning technology to check the entries to detect duplicates in order to eliminate and select eligible entries. Thereby, clearly demonstrating the seriousness and objectivity to promote and improve the quality of the contest.

Comrade Ngo Chien Quang, Head of the Special Topics Department, Provincial Radio and Television Station, judge of the Provincial Police's Political Writing Contest, said: Through the judging of the entries, it can be seen that although they are not professional writers, there are works participating that demonstrate investment, diligence, and linking theory with practice, especially the practice of the Public Security sector very clearly. In fact, the Public Security sector has many sources of materials for writers to exploit and build good political journalism works. Therefore, it is very necessary for units and writers to promote in the coming time.

Discussing the unit's Political Writing Contest, Comrade Luc The Hung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, said that the Provincial Police Department's Party Committee always pays attention to competitions, including the Political Writing Contest. In order for the competition to have better quality, he hopes that units will invest more to have works that breathe life, are topical and associated with theory; encourage the organizing committee to apply technology to review the works, ensuring quality. And at the same time, he hopes that the works participating in the contest can be widely disseminated. From past competitions, he will gain more experience so that the Provincial Police can continue to organize competitions well in the following years.
