Quang Ninh University of Industry Party Committee: Building good party members and good party cells

In the process of leading the Vietnamese revolution, our Party has always been consistent in its viewpoint: Party building is a key task, of vital significance in the entire revolutionary cause of the Party. Therefore, building and consolidating a "deep-rooted, durable" Party organization from the grassroots level is a task that must be done regularly and continuously. In recent years, the Party Committee of Quang Ninh University of Industry has always focused on building a strong Party cell with high leadership capacity and fighting spirit and a team of high-quality, pioneering, and exemplary Party members, thereby creating a comprehensive strength, contributing to the Party building work and the development achievements of the school.

Party cell is the nucleus, party members are the core

In March 2023, Quang Ninh University of Industry (QUIT) solemnly held the Ceremony to announce the Decision and award the certificate of quality assessment ofeducational institutions. This is an event of special significance, affirming the quality and brand of the school. Comrade Pham Duc Thang - Member of the Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Inspection and Quality Assessment Department shared: In recent years, the work of quality assurance has always been closely directed by the Party Committee of the school, considered a key task to ensure the goal of sustainable development. Deeply aware of the importance of quality assessment of educational institutions, as a standing unit, the Party Cell has well implemented the assigned tasks; actively coordinated with units in the whole school to complete the work of self-assessment and external assessment of educational institutions. Party members in the Party cell have raised their spirit and sense of responsibility, tried to overcome all difficulties, worked day and night, and made efforts to carry out their tasks, contributing to the overall achievements of the school.

In the current integration trend, with the aim of improving the quality of training, promoting scientific research, technology transfer, contributing to promoting the school's brand, after a period of actively preparing all conditions in terms of facilities, staff, editors, building, designing the interface of the Electronic Journal as well as carrying out procedures to apply for an Operating License. In December 2022, the Electronic Journal of Science and Technology QUI of the University of Science and Technology was granted an Operating License and in February 2023 was granted an electronic international standard code e-ISSN: 2815-6145. This is a turning point marking and affirming the development of science and technology of the school. This result has a significant contribution from the Science and Technology - International Relations Party Cell. The Party cell has only 3 official Party members and a large workload, but under the leadership of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and the Party cell, the Party members in the Party cell have promoted the spirit of initiative and creativity, demonstrated good working capacity, and completed the assigned tasks well.

For training units, in the process of leading the implementation of tasks for the 2022-2023 school year, the Party Committees of the Party cells have closely followed the Resolution on the direction and tasks for the 2022-2023 school year of the Party Committee of the school; the school's work program and plan for the school year; thoroughly grasped and effectively implemented them, in accordance with the functions, tasks, characteristics and situation of the unit. Under the leadership of the Party Committees of the Party cells, Party members in the Party cells have promoted their pioneering and exemplary spirit, raised their sense of responsibility in performing their tasks, contributing to the overall achievements of the unit and the school. The training units have coordinated to compile 69 detailed outlines of general education knowledge courses at the university level; 11 detailed outlines of university level courses for Laotian international students; 568 detailed outlines of basic knowledge courses at the university level. The Basic Science Party Cell has led the implementation of the training of the National Defense - Security Education module for K15 students (studying at Minh Thanh campus); organized training for the school's student team to participate in the 29th Quang Ninh Provincial Collective Running Competition in 2023, winning the Second Prize. The Party Committee of Quang Ninh University of Industry is a grassroots Party Committee under the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee, currently having 19 Party cells with a total of 186 Party members. Recognizing the core role of the Party cell in contributing significantly to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization, in recent times, the Party Committee of the University has focused on leading, directing and organizing the drastic and focused implementation of Party building work with the motto of considering the Party cell as the nucleus for comprehensive leadership in all aspects of work; only when the Party cell is strong can the Party organization be strong. The quality of activities, leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party cell have been constantly improved. The contingent of Party members in the Party Committee has developed in both quantity and quality, always upholding the vanguard role, having revolutionary ethics, a sense of organization and discipline and the ability to complete assigned tasks; Promote the spirit of initiative, creativity, volunteerism, self-awareness, daring to think, daring to do, being exemplary, truly being the core of leadership and solidarity in the unit.

Implementing Resolution No. 05-NQ/DU, dated August 18, 2021 of the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee on improving the quality of Party cell activities in the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee, period 2021-2025, the School Party Committee has closely followed the contents, developed plans, and implemented solutions to improve the quality of activities, enhance capacity and fighting strength in Party cells. In particular, it pays special attention to implementing the monthly Party cell activities and quarterly thematic activities; well assigning tasks to Party cell members; focusing on developing Party cell activities that closely follow the functions and tasks, suitable to the situation and characteristics of the Party cell; paying attention to training and creating sources for Party member development; fostering professional skills for the team of secretaries and grassroots Party committee members, especially Party cell secretaries who are also heads of departments/faculties/centers; performing Party member work well; Closely coordinate with the local Party Committee where the Party member works and the Party Committee where the Party member resides to monitor and manage the Party member... The School Party Committee focuses on innovating the content and methods of leadership, improving the quality of Party cell activities to consolidate and build a clean and strong grassroots Party organization. The School Party Committee issues a separate Resolution on improving the quality of Party cell activities; organizes quarterly meetings with Party cell secretaries. Every month, comrades in the Party Committee Standing Committee regularly attend meetings at Party cells to promptly direct and resolve problems right at the grassroots level...

In order to promote the work of developing the Party, especially among student union members, the Party Committee Standing Committee directed the Party cells to strengthen the review and grasp of the source of excellent masses; encouraged the Party cells, especially the Student Party Cell, to pay attention to nurturing the source of excellent union members and members among students. At the same time, assigned specific tasks to the Youth Union organization regarding the target of introducing outstanding youth union members to the Party cells for nurturing and consideration of Party admission.

Thanks to the application of synchronous solutions, the quality of Party cell activities and Party members has been continuously improved. According to the evaluation and classification results in the first half of the 2020-2025 term, every year, the entire Party Committee has 3 affiliated Party cells that excellently complete their tasks, accounting for 15.8%; 15 Party cells that complete their tasks well, accounting for 78.9%; Party members who excellently complete their tasks account for nearly 15%, and those who complete their tasks well account for over 80%. Every year, the rate of new Party members is over 5%, ensuring the target of the Resolution of the 25th Party Congress of the School, term 2020-2025.

“A strong Party is due to good Party cells, and good Party cells are due to good Party members.” A strong and clean Party cell is always worthy of being the nucleus at the grassroots level. If many strong and clean Party cells are present, the Party will be strong.
