According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, from May 15 to 5 p.m. on May 19 at the latest, parents of students must access the city's primary school admissions page, select the district to submit their application, and accurately identify the admission target.

All freshmen must register for admission during the official period from May 15 to 19 to secure a place.

All candidates must register in the official period from May 15 to May 19, including those who wish to enroll in advanced and special schools. After registering for admission in this official period, from May 24 to May 29, parents of students can register for admission on the city's admission information portal for educational institutions implementing special programs, including: High-quality, advanced, regional and international integration programs; integrated English program according to Project 5695; French enhancement program; Nam Sai Gon Primary - Secondary - High School (District 7) (grades 1 and 6), Luong The Vinh High School (District 1) and other educational institutions with special models in the city's education system (as proposed by the Department of Education and Training).

However, the arrangement to which school depends on the actual situation of the locality.

If students do not register during this official period, they will not be guaranteed a place at regular schools in case they are not accepted into advanced and specialized schools. This may result in having to move around a lot and cause difficulties in the school placement process.
