Weather on May 16: Very heavy rain in some places in the North

The Hydrometeorological Agency forecasts that during the day and night of May 16, in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 20-40mm, and some places over 80mm. Rain will be concentrated in the morning, evening and night.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
