Some structures were damaged, and the My Xuyen block cultural house also had its tiled roof blown off after the tornado passed. Duy Xuyen district leaders went to inspect and direct the handling of the consequences” – Vice Chairman of Duy Xuyen District People’s Committee Dang Huu Phuc informed.
In Duy Xuyen district, there is still light rain, the force is continuing to support people to overcome the damage.
According to the bulletin of the Quang Nam Province Hydrometeorological Station, from 7-9 am on November 5, localities such as Hoi An City, Dien Ban Town, Dai Loc District, Duy Xuyen, Thang Binh, and Nui Thanh will have heavy to very heavy rain.
It is forecasted that in the next 3-6 hours, localities in the province will continue to have rain, with some places having heavy rain to very heavy rain. There is a risk of localized flooding on roads and low-lying areas in Hoi An, Tam Ky, Dien Ban, Dai Loc, Duy Xuyen, Que Son, Thang Binh, Nui Thanh, etc.
Heavy rains also caused many roads in Quang Nam province to be deeply flooded, cutting off traffic. In particular, DT 611 connecting Nong Son and Que Son districts was cut off by floodwaters. Nong Son district had two heavily flooded spots: the Iron Bridge section in Tan Phong village and Cho Thom Bridge in Loc Trung village.
In Cu Lao Cham (Hoi An City), heavy rain caused the water to flow rapidly, causing low-lying areas to be partially flooded. Tam Ky City also had many central roads partially flooded, making traffic difficult.
Dak Mi 3 Hydropower Plant has also just issued a notice on the operation of the hydropower reservoir starting from 6:00 p.m. on November 5. Accordingly, Dak Mi 3 Hydropower Plant will release spillway from 6:00 p.m. tonight, November 5, with a spillway flow rate of 10 - 1,000 m3/s.
