On the morning of November 15, in Ha Giang province, the delegation of the International Cooperation Agency (Koica) Vietnam led by Ms. Choi Jeyun, Deputy Director, KOICA Vietnam Country Office, had a working session with the two provinces of Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang to assess the feasibility of the project "Rural development of ethnic minority areas associated with high-quality value chains in Ha Giang province" and the project on rural community development in the two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang funded by the International Cooperation Agency (Koica) Vietnam. Receiving and working with the delegation were comrade Hoang Gia Long, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrade Hoang Viet Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of departments and branches of the two provinces.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long said: In recent years, Ha Giang province has always paid attention to and focused on attracting investment, especially mobilizing ODA capital and preferential loans from foreign donors. Currently, Ha Giang province has proposed 3 new projects in the period of 2025-2030; including the project "Rural development of ethnic minority areas associated with high-quality value chains in Ha Giang province" from Koica's capital. At the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the Expert Delegation in conducting surveys and field assessments to propose the implementation of two projects on "Rural development of ethnic minority areas associated with high-quality value chains in Ha Giang province" and the project on rural community development in the two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang. Ha Giang province believes that the project will contribute to improving the quality and value of agricultural production chains associated with ecotourism and improving the lives of local people.

At the meeting, the representative of KOICA Vietnam Office reported the results of the feasibility survey of the Project on "Rural development of ethnic minority areas associated with high-quality value chains in Ha Giang province" and the Project on rural community development in the two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang. Through the field survey, the working group concluded that both provinces have the potential to receive investment from KOICA. KOICA Vietnam proposed that Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces should establish a Project Steering Committee to facilitate the implementation process, help improve project efficiency and save time so that people can soon access the results of the project. In the coming time, Koica will continue to send working groups to the two provinces to discuss specific contents necessary to prepare necessary procedures to launch the project.
At the meeting, delegates from Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces highly appreciated the objectives, ideas for implementing the project and the results of the field survey of KOICA Vietnam. At the same time, they accepted the proposals and discussions of the KOICA delegation and committed to accompany the KOICA expert delegation and create the best conditions for the delegation to have a successful working trip to the province as well as the delegation's next activities in the coming time./.
