Evaluation of the results of organizing a series of activities to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the province's founding and the Culture - Tourism Week in 2025

The report at the meeting said: Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Organizing Committee and agencies, units and localities have synchronously deployed activities according to plan. In particular, the highlight is the vibrant cultural, artistic, sports and tourism programs taking place from mid-April to the end of the April 30 - May 1 holiday, leaving a good impression in the hearts of people and tourists.

The Street Carnival with the theme “Bac Kan sparkling with colors” was held for the first time on a large scale, attracting more than 1,100 artisans, extras, and nearly 6,000 attendees. The opening program of Bac Kan Culture - Tourism Week with a magnificent floating stage on Cau River, modern sound - light system, and unique art performances with the theme “Cau River - where the source converges” attracted about 20,000 people through 3 nights of preliminary rehearsal, final rehearsal and opening.

The Cultural Week also has a series of activities such as: Pickleball tournament and mountain bike race, investment promotion - tourism development seminars, Beautiful photo contest of Cau River basin tourism, Mong ethnic cultural day in Mu La - Pac Nam, intangible cultural heritage performance program of Cau River basin ethnic groups... The total number of tourists to the province during the event is estimated at 175,000, revenue of about 120 billion VND (an increase of 196.4% over the same period in 2024).

Propaganda work was deployed extensively and effectively. Many news and articles were published in central and local newspapers and radio stations; provincial media agencies such as Bac Kan Newspaper and provincial Radio and Television Station live-streamed many key programs, spreading the image of Bac Kan to the public.

However, the event chain still has some shortcomings such as: The organization of some activities is still rushed, the coordination between units is sometimes not synchronized; the experience space has not been fully arranged, the logistics are still confusing; the weather makes some activities difficult...

In his concluding remarks, Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen praised the departments, branches and localities for their active and responsible participation in successfully organizing the largest-ever series of events. He emphasized: The activities to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the province's founding, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the Bac Kan Culture and Tourism Week in 2025 have created a deep impression, contributing to honoring traditional historical and cultural values, promoting tourism potential, promoting socio-economic development and enhancing the province's position in the region.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that units continue to draw practical lessons, thereby better preparing for large-scale cultural and tourism events in the coming time, first of all the National Day on September 2, this is also an opportunity for Bac Kan to stimulate tourism.../.
