The interface and some features on the device are quite similar to the iPhone, making it easier for users to switch ecosystems. Although there are still some points that need improvement, the Find X9 Pro is truly a formidable opponent of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Design and display
The overall appearance of the OPPO Find X9 Pro has become more square and sturdy than its predecessor. The camera cluster is also designed in a square shape and moved to the upper left corner, instead of being placed in the center as before.
This change helps optimize the overall size and increase ergonomics, while limiting the situation where users touch the lens with their hands.
The metal frame is beveled flat, while the four corners are slightly curved, providing a firm and comfortable grip. The frosted glass back also limits dust and fingerprints during use.
Similar to many other high-end smartphones on the market, this model also has high quality finishing. The details of the joints between the glass back and the metal frame are processed seamlessly and without any unnecessary details.
On the Find X9 Pro, OPPO has added a new button called Snap Key. This button supports customizing sound modes, turning on the flashlight, quickly accessing the camera, the recorder, or accessing the mental space AI feature. Users can set different tasks for this button depending on their personal needs.
OPPO Find X9 Pro has also switched to using a flat screen, instead of a curved screen like its predecessor. This change is considered to be in line with current user trends. At the same time, this also helps users find screen protectors more easily.
The device's screen is 6.78 inches in size, uses an AMOLED panel, and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. This screen has a maximum local brightness of 3,600 nits, ensuring clear visibility even when the user uses the device under harsh sunlight.
The intelligent light control system can reduce brightness to 1 nit for night use, which is considered an important improvement to reduce eye strain and provide a comfortable viewing experience.
The AMOLED display features deep blacks, vibrant colors, and wide viewing angles. The display also meets HDR10+ standards. Another plus is that the bezels are thinned to only about 1.15mm in all four scenes, giving a display ratio of 95% of the front surface.
The device also integrates a fingerprint sensor under the screen, which is fast and easy to operate. In addition, the device also meets IP66, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance standards, allowing users to use the product with peace of mind in many different conditions.
Camera and AI features
On the Find X9 Pro, OPPO continues to work with Hasselblad to refine the camera system of the device. The 3-camera system includes a 50MP main lens with integrated optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens that supports close-up macro photography, and a 200MP Hasselblad telephoto lens dedicated to portrait photos with blurred backgrounds.
Not stopping there, OPPO also exclusively developed the LUMO image algorithm system for the Find X9 Series. The company said this solution will bring the ability to reproduce sharp, accurate and consistent images in many lighting conditions.
As a camera-focused phone, the device also integrates a dedicated button for taking photos, similar to the Camera Control button on iPhones. However, the features that OPPO integrates on this button are still relatively limited.
Currently, the quick shutter key on OPPO Find X9 Pro is only used for quick access to the camera, taking photos and adjusting the zoom level. Meanwhile, the Camera Control key on iPhone can support more operations such as taking photos, zooming, adjusting aperture, accessing Visual Intelligence.
Testing photos in many different usage conditions, the photo quality from this camera system all reached a good level of detail, contrast and color.
With the photo taken in the evening when the sun was about to set, the main camera of the device has the ability to reproduce good details, natural color reproduction. The clouds in the sky are shown prominently. Meanwhile, details in dark areas are also handled well and are not grainy.
Below are some photos taken at different zoom levels of 1x, 2x, 3x, 6x, 10x, 20x, 30x and 60x. These photos were taken in the afternoon under cloudy and overcast conditions.
The image of the sky with dense small clouds is reproduced prominently, the colors are natural, not processed too differently from reality. Details such as ripples on the water surface are also fully reproduced, not flat.
Although the telephoto camera only supports 3x optical zoom, the device still allows users to take pictures with a maximum zoom level of up to 120x by combining camera hardware with the AI system.
With a zoom level of up to 60x, the image is still processed relatively well in terms of detail and color. In addition, the device also supports a maximum zoom of 120x. However, at such a high zoom level, the image quality is significantly reduced and almost unusable.
For portrait mode, OPPO Find X9 Pro supports 3 different zoom levels including 1x, 2x and 3x, corresponding to focal lengths of 23mm, 46mm and 70mm. Users can easily switch between focal lengths depending on the scene and usage needs.
Tested taking photos in complex conditions where the light has a strong contrast between indoors and outdoors, Find X9 Pro still recognizes the subject well. The overall lighting of the photo is handled harmoniously, the indoor area is not too dark, while the outdoor part is not overexposed.
The subject is reproduced prominently against the background, the image has depth with the typical Hasselblad image quality. Facial details, skin color, especially the hair on the side are reproduced naturally.
In terms of video recording capabilities, the Find X9 Pro supports 4K video recording at 120 frames per second and Dolby Vision HDR color standard. The integrated 10-bit Log mode allows users to perform professional post-production right on the device. At the same time, the device also integrates a system of 4 high-sensitivity microphones that record directional sound according to the zoom level.
In addition, the Find X9 Pro also has a built-in AI toolkit to support image editing. The new AI Portrait Light Correction feature helps improve portrait quality in low light conditions, automatically balancing light and skin tone with just one touch.

Performance and battery
OPPO Find X9 Pro is the first high-end smartphone in the Vietnamese market to integrate the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. In addition, the device also integrates the Trinity Engine 2.0 algorithm, helping to maintain strong performance continuously for a long time.
A quick assessment through the Antutu BenchMark performance scoring software, the device reached nearly 3.5 million points. This is the highest score ever recorded on the Antutu system.
However, the actual usage experience of this chip still has some issues that need to be improved. At the time of testing, the device did not support the game Lien Quan Mobile at maximum graphics settings. This is a popular game with relatively light graphics.
Meanwhile, testing with the heaviest game on smartphones today, Genshin Impact, the device can handle extremely high graphics settings (maximum) at 60fps (frames per second) smoothly and without any frame stuttering.
