Many "imprints"
In recent years, implementing the direction of the Provincial Border Guard Command, Border Guard Stations have actively participated in economic , cultural and social development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction in border communes, wards and towns through many movements, programs, projects and models. These are the movement "Thua Thien Hue Border Guard joins hands to build new rural areas"; the program "Accompanying women in the border areas"; "Border spring warms the hearts of the villagers"; "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of Border Guard Station"; Project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school; model "Helping lonely old people"; "Saving small change to share difficulties", "Helping lonely old people", "Charity rice jar", "Green house - Turning ocean waste into money, helping disadvantaged students go to school"; "Green military uniform route"; "Returning to the village day"... Many models have created widespread social effects, mobilizing the participation of many organizations and individuals inside and outside the army. Along with that, the Provincial Border Guard has coordinated to organize many activities to help people in production, prevent and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, search and rescue. In the past 5 years alone, from 2018 to present, the Provincial Border Guard has participated in more than 10,000 working days to repair and upgrade damaged schools, build rural roads, help people prevent and fight floods and storms; donated 85 warm houses, solidarity houses, 2 rooms school, more than 8 thousand gifts, 200 wheelchairs, 100 bicycles, 40 computers, 2 tons of clothes, 14 savings books, nearly 100 goats and cows, 3 thousand seedlings; sponsored nearly 160 students; examined and provided free medicine to over 1,500 people, participated in the "For the Poor" fund, the "Repaying gratitude" fund... with a value of tens of billions of VND, contributing to the development of the border area. Improving the capacity of the "spearhead" force According to Colonel Pham Tung Lam, in order to advise and coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to effectively deploy and implement programs and projects in border areas; the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, in recent times, the provincial Border Guard has paid great attention to the work of strengthening border guard station officers to border communes to hold the position of deputy secretary of the commune Party Committee in charge of national defense and security. security, advising on socio-economic development; assigning party members of border posts to be in charge of households, participating in activities of village party cells and residential groups in border areas. Deputy secretaries of commune party committees, cadres of local working groups, mass mobilization teams, political commissars and deputy political commissars of border posts are the "spearhead" force working closely with the people, "eating, living, working, and speaking the ethnic language together"; closely following, understanding, and grasping the difficulties, thoughts, and aspirations of the people, from which they have provided correct, accurate, and appropriate advice that when implemented will bring high efficiency. I have had the opportunity to follow Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Tuyen, Political Commissar of Hong Van Border Post; Senior Lieutenant Pham Thai Son, Head of the Mass Mobilization Team and cadres of local working groups to visit the disadvantaged households of Hong Van, Hong Thuy, and Hong Trung communes (areas managed by the unit); following Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Tuan, Political Commissar and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Tri, Deputy Political Commissar of Huong Nguyen Border Guard Station, came to the people of Huong Nguyen commune, A Roang..., and learned that it was a daily thing for them to leave their motorbikes, roll up their pants to wade across streams, and carry rice on their shoulders to overcome muddy roads; they knew like the back of their hands the origins of this lonely old household or that sick household, how damaged their houses were, and what needed to be done to help. In the border communes of the mountainous district of A Luoi, the footsteps of the deputy secretaries of the commune party committees wearing green military uniforms, political commissars, deputy political commissars, cadres of the mass mobilization team, local working groups..., stood side by side with ethnic minorities regardless of time and space, understanding the difficulties and advantages of households, each hamlet, village, and commune... From the proposals and advice of the "spearhead" force, the command boards of the border guard stations advised the leaders of local authorities at all levels and simultaneously coordinated to deploy and effectively implement many practical projects, programs, and socio-economic development models. Typically, the people Ethnic minorities in the border communes of the mountainous district of A Luoi have transformed the structure of crops and livestock towards commodity production, livestock and cultivation models. Many herds of cows, many gardens of dragon fruit, oranges, jackfruit, etc., with high economic value are increasingly expanding and developing. To further improve the capacity of the "spearhead" force, most recently, the Provincial Border Guard, chaired by Colonel Dang Ngoc Hieu, Deputy Political Commissar, coordinated with the A Luoi District Party Committee and the Provincial Ethnic Committee to organize a training session for political commissars, deputy political commissars, mass mobilization team leaders and cadres to strengthen socio-economic development, belonging to border posts on the mainland border, to be trained and improve their capacity, skills and expertise; this is an important "foundation" to continue to effectively implement the national target program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period of 2021 - 2030.
