On April 12, the Central Working Delegation led by Mr. Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negative Practices, had a working session with the Standing Committee of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee.
Also attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity of Tay Ninh Province; Mr. Pham Hung Thai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tay Ninh Province; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, along with members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of the province's Internal Affairs and Justice agencies.
At the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Hung Thai reported on some outstanding results in 2022 and the first quarter of 2023 regarding internal affairs, judicial reform, and prevention and fight against corruption and negativity in Tay Ninh province.
Mr. Pham Hung Thai said that Tay Ninh is one of the provinces that established the Steering Committee for the prevention of corruption and negative factors early. Right from the beginning of the term, the Provincial Party Committee issued a specialized resolution on the prevention of corruption and negative factors and regularly directed the implementation of tasks and solutions in accordance with the spirit of the resolution and the leadership and direction documents of the Central Government on the prevention of corruption and negative factors.
Complicated, long-standing corruption cases of public concern are urged to be resolved quickly, especially cases and cases recommended by Working Group No. 3 of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity. In 2022, direct Party committees and organizations at all levels to issue plans to review and self-inspect the management of public finance and assets to rectify this work.
In the coming time, the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities of Tay Ninh province will assign members to monitor the results of self-inspection of Party committees and organizations at all levels. Based on the experience gained from corruption and negative activities that occurred in the area and the actual situation, it will be possible to work on specific topics with each related sector.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee pointed out a number of existing problems, limitations and difficulties of the province such as the complicated security and order situation on the border, especially drug crimes and smuggling; the overload of the detention facility system; slow appraisal and asset valuation work, lack of appraisal technicians; lack of staff in the Court, Procuracy and Enforcement sectors; a number of corruption and negative cases that have not been completely resolved...
Concluding the working session, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac acknowledged and highly appreciated the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on internal affairs, judicial reform, and the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
The Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission requested the province to pay attention to and focus on leading and directing 6 contents on border security, security and order, religion, and workers; improve the efficiency of operations and coordination between the Internal Affairs and Justice agencies; and strengthen inspection and supervision to control power in litigation and execution activities.
Regarding the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, Tay Ninh needs to pay attention to internal self-inspection and supervision, promoting "self-reflection and self-correction" for each individual cadre, party member and each collective, especially in sectors and fields where corruption and negativity occur.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities of Tay Ninh province, accepted the direction of the Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission's working delegation to continue to lead, direct and better perform the political tasks of the Provincial Party Committee, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the province, especially the work of preventing and combating corruption and negative activities, building the Party, contributing to building a strong political system./.
