Over the past period, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Lao Cai province have focused on implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" with many specific actions, disseminating information to a large number of people to prioritize using Vietnamese goods in shopping. Through this, they have gradually raised awareness among production and business units and the people, promoting the consumption of Vietnamese goods.

According to Ms. Ma En Hang, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, in implementing Directive No. 03 of the Party Central Committee and Directive No. 28 of the Prime Minister, the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" continues to be promoted to further improve quality and effectiveness, in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution No. 10, dated August 26, 2021, of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Strategy for the development of commodity agriculture in Lao Cai province until 2030, with a vision to 2050".

Specifically, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province issued and implemented a plan for the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign in 2024; and proactively coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to carry out many activities. At the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, term 2024-2029, the organizing committee arranged booths to display and introduce more than 100 characteristic products and agricultural goods from districts, towns, and cities, contributing to enhancing the image of OCOP brands, unleashing the potential of local products, cultural and culinary values, promoting local culture, and expanding markets, connecting and trading for OCOP products in localities. This created opportunities for exchange, learning experiences, promoting production, improving production and business efficiency among units, organizations, and enterprises, and effectively implementing the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign.

Along with the decisive involvement of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, member organizations, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front committees of districts, towns, and cities have also strengthened coordination in disseminating information and mobilizing people to participate in preventing and combating counterfeit, fake, and substandard goods, and implementing propaganda on ensuring food safety. In 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Lao Cai province coordinated and organized 646 integrated propaganda sessions, attracting over 85,000 participants; coordinated the organization of 15 fairs, markets, and "Vietnam Goods to Rural Areas" trips; organized 2 seminars, and connected and supported businesses...

In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Lao Cai province have assigned officials to participate in inter-agency inspection teams to check food safety and hygiene, especially during the Lunar New Year and peak tourist season. Through these inspections, administrative violations related to food safety and hygiene regulations, failure to display prices, and goods of unknown origin have been detected and handled in the districts of Si Ma Cai, Bao Thang, Muong Khuong, and Bat Xat.

According to Ms. Ma En Hang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, thanks to effective coordination, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and various departments, organizations, and media agencies have effectively implemented the contents of the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign, attracting a large number of officials, Party members, association members, business communities, cooperatives, and people from all walks of life to actively respond to and trust domestically produced goods.
