Proposal to stop circulation of items with the image of the "yellow flag" in Australia

On May 4, in response to a reporter's question asking about Vietnam's reaction to some items issued in Australia containing the image of the "yellow flag", Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang emphasized:

"We regret and firmly object to the Royal Australia Mint and Australia Post issuing items with the image of the "yellow flag", the flag of a regime that no longer exists. This is completely inconsistent with the positive development trend of the Vietnam-Australia Strategic Partnership."

"We have discussed this with the Australian side, proposing to stop the circulation of these items and prevent similar incidents from happening in the future," Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang emphasized.
