Today (May 31), nearly 12,000 students in Soc Trang province entered the first day of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year with two subjects: Literature and English.
On the morning of June 1, candidates will take the Math exam, with a duration of 120 minutes. After completing the 3 general exams, candidates applying to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School for the Gifted will continue to take the specialized exam on the afternoon of June 1 and all day on June 2.

From this year, according to the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, there are 3 methods of admission to grade 10 of high school: entrance exam, admission review or a combination of entrance exam and admission review. The selection of admission method is under the authority of the locality.
Regarding the entrance exam method for grade 10 high school, to ensure consistency and implement the policy of a light and inexpensive exam, the Ministry of Education and Training generally stipulates the implementation of 3 subjects and exams, including: Math, Literature and a third subject or exam selected by the Department of Education and Training.
The third exam subject is selected from among the subjects assessed by scores in the secondary school generaleducation program, ensuring that the same third exam subject is not selected for more than 3 consecutive years.
