Proposal to allocate funds to invest in infrastructure projects at Nam Giang International Border Gate

According to this document, the Provincial People's Committee requests relevant departments, localities and units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to study the proposed contents and recommendations of the Provincial Economic Zones and Industrial Parks Management Board (in Report No. 103) to proactively resolve within their authority or propose and advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct and resolve in accordance with regulations.

Previously, in Report No. 103 on the management and operation of Nam Giang International Border Gate in the first quarter of 2024 and a number of tasks expected in the second quarter and by the end of 2024, the Provincial Economic Zones and Industrial Parks Management Board requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Department of Transport to urgently maintain and promptly repair damaged points on National Highway 14D to ensure traffic safety. At the same time, it recommended that the Ministry of Transport urgently implement investment in upgrading and expanding National Highway 14D according to the criteria and standards prescribed in Decree No. 34 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 112 of the Government regulating the management of land border gates.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee is requested to direct the Nam Giang District People's Committee to thoroughly handle violations of infrastructure and road traffic safety corridors; at the same time, strengthen the management of land status and construction order; and arrange funds for public investment in Sub-zone I of the Nam Giang Border Gate Economic Zone with a total investment of about 64.9 billion VND.

Allocate funds for maintenance, repair and renovation of infrastructure works and items in the Nam Giang International Border Gate area; agree on the policy of investing in a fire prevention and fighting system at the Joint Control Station of the Nam Giang International Border Gate to ensure safety and soon decide to establish a Plant Quarantine Station at the Nam Giang International Border Gate...
