Handheld selfie LED light costs 15,000 VND... broken before use

“When I first used it, it was very bright, but after about 1-2 hours, it started to flicker and then stopped working. I plugged it in to charge but it didn’t work. What a waste of money!”, Ms. Oanh shared indignantly when buying a cheap selfie LED light.

The LED selfie light is a compact light that uses LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology and is designed to provide lighting when taking photos or videos , especially selfies with a phone. This light helps brighten the face, even out the color, reduce shadows, and improve image quality in low-light conditions such as at night, in a room, or in places with insufficient light.

A quick look around the market shows that there are many types of selfie lights, with different types, designs and prices such as: Wireless LED Ring Light (priced at over 210,000 VND); Ulanzi U60 RGB LED Light (priced at 450,000 VND), compact handheld Selfie Ulanzi VL66 RGB LED light (priced at 550,000 VND),...

Besides these genuine product lines, the market also has floating products with super cheap prices such as: selfie led light for 15,000 VND, mini handheld selfie led light with 3 modes for 40,000 VND, mini led ring light for phone for 22,000 VND,...

Ms. Oanh has a passion for photography so she bought an additional selfie LED light to support taking photos at night. She searched online and saw that the selfie LED light was being sold for 15,000 VND so she bought it. However, when she used it, she was extremely disappointed.

“When I first used it, it was very bright, but after about 1-2 hours, it started flickering and then stopped working. I plugged it in to charge but it didn’t work. I texted the shop to get support but they didn’t respond. It was a waste of money,” Ms. Oanh shared.

Mr. Van Khoi, owner of an electronic equipment stall in Hanoi , shared: “Many types of cheap lamps are sold widely online or in electronic markets, but they are of poor quality, weak and uneven light, and easily broken after a short period of use. Some products do not even have safety certification, and can easily cause glare and headaches if used for a long time.”

Lamps of unknown origin often do not have a warranty, do not have specific technical specifications, are prone to power failures or emit light rays that are harmful to the eyes. Especially for those who often livestream, record videos or do makeup, using poor quality lamps can directly affect eyesight and image quality.

Consumers should carefully research the product, buy at reputable stores or distributors, choose lights with quality certification and clear warranty to ensure safety and long-term use.
