Foreign Trade University increases enrollment quota and standards for some subjects

In 2025, Foreign Trade University will enroll students through 4 methods, with 4,180 targets, an increase of 50 targets compared to last year.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter earlier, Master Pham Thanh Ha, Deputy Head of Training Management Department, Foreign Trade University, said that for international certificates, the school still uses SAT, ACT and A-level.

The A-Level entry quality assurance threshold remains unchanged but the SAT score is higher, from 1380/1600 and ACT from 30/36.

"This is one of the new points this year because last year, the school took SAT from 1260, and ACT 27.

Increasing the standards for candidates with international certificates aims to continue improving the quality of student input," said Master Pham Thanh Ha.

In the admission method based on academic records: In 2025, Foreign Trade University will apply to three groups of candidates, including: participating in the national science and technology excellent student competition; winning third prize or higher in the city-level excellent student competition; being students of specialized schools.

Students can use the average score of 6 semesters of three subjects in the combination; or combine it with an international language certificate. When considering the combination, the certificate score will be converted and replace the English subject in the combination.

The final method is to apply admission based on domestic and international competency assessment certificates. In 2025, the school will use the results of two competency assessment exams organized by Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University. The floor scores are 100/150 and 850/1200, respectively.

For international certificates, the school still uses SAT, ACT and A-level. The threshold to ensure the quality of A-Level input remains the same but the SAT score is higher, from 1380/1600 and ACT from 30/36.

Last year, the admission score of Foreign Trade University increased slightly compared to 2023.

The school's new major, Computer Science, also had a relatively high admission score right from the first year of enrollment, at 27.2 points in all combinations.

Also last year, the school launched new admissions to the Computer Science major, the Computer Science and Data Science program in Economics and Business, and new admissions to the i-Hons advanced program in collaboration with the University of Queensland (Australia) on International Business and Business Data Analytics, which is a program within the International Business major.
