Phu Yen Nhat Tu Son is an island with a walkway connecting to the mainland when the tide is low, helping visitors experience the feeling of walking in the middle of the sea.
Nhat Tu Son is a small island with an area of about 6 hectares, located at the mouth of Xuan Dai Bay, in Xuan Thanh Ward, South of Song Cau Town, Phu Yen Province. The special feature of this island is that visitors can walk on a dirt road about 300 m long leading from the mainland to the island. This is a natural road, appearing when the tide is low.

Living in Phu Hoa district (Phu Yen), Thanh Nhan has a hobby of exploring and capturing beautiful scenes of his homeland. On May 12, Nhan and his friends went to explore Nhat Tu Son. Although he has been to the island many times, he still likes to visit Nhat Tu Son in the summer the most.
Arriving at the island in the morning, the tide had not yet receded, so he chose to take a canoe to the island. The ticket price was 50,000 VND/person with a bottle of water.
After about 5 minutes on the canoe, Mr. Nhan arrived at Nhat Tu Son. The canoe disembarkation point and also the first check-in point when setting foot on the island is the wooden bridge with the name Nhat Tu Son.
There are almost no tourist services on the island, only a souvenir and refreshment stall for tourists. The island is uninhabited, there are only forests, rocky beaches, white sand, golden sunshine, wild and deserted scenery.
According to information from the Nhat Tu Son Management Board, the flora on the island is quite rich. There are many precious trees that are hundreds of years old. The western slope has many Lagerstroemia and Rosewood trees, while the southern side has rugged cliffs and ancient apricot trees. On the eastern side, the island faces the sea, with rocks stacked on top of each other, forming a chair-like shape.
The rocky beaches along the edge of the island, running parallel to each other, formed small water channels. The waves rushed in, white foam from the water splashed up, carving out small underwater caves. A short distance from the cave, before reaching the path leading to the front of the island, was a sandy beach covered with shells on the surface.

Standing on the highest point of Nhat Tu Son island overlooking Xuan Dai bay, visitors will admire the boats, ships, and seafood rafts of the local people. Like Song Cau town, Dam Cu Mong, this is also one of the most famous seafood granaries of Xu Nau.
Above was the blue sky, sunshine and a light breeze, below was the sea, also a blue color, creating a cool, pleasant scene. At about 2 p.m., the tide began to recede, and the road on the sea gradually appeared. Waiting until the water receded completely, the road was about 4 meters wide, Nhan and his friend walked back to the mainland.
"The road is the same as the one on the mainland, but the special feeling is that both sides are surrounded by sea water. Just walking normally on this road also produces beautiful and unique photos," said Mr. Nhan.
The walkway to the island is exposed at low tide.
Mr. Vo Van Dieu, a local tour guide, said that the ideal time to explore Nhat Tu Son is from March to August. In the summer, from May to July, Nhat Tu Son is at its most beautiful. The island is covered by shady forests, the air is fresh, cool, sunny and windy.
There are no people on the island, no overnight camping is allowed, visitors should pay attention to arrange their schedule for the day. Before arriving at the island, visitors should follow the forecast of high and low tides via phone applications. Then, they can go to the island by canoe and walk back or vice versa, depending on the time of low tide. Visitors should prepare clothes and sunscreen. They can bring food and drinks from outside to the island, but littering is not allowed according to the regulations of the Management Board.
Phu Yen is an ideal summer destination and attracts many tourists. "If you are afraid of crowded places, Nhat Tu Son is an ideal choice to sightsee, immerse yourself in nature and feel the summer flavor of Phu Yen," said Mr. Nhan.
