Di Linh: Exciting Farmers' Festival

(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of June 20, the People's Committee of Di Linh district organized the Farmers' Festival 2025 with the participation of more than 600 typical farmers from 19 communes and towns in the district.

The festival attracted the participation of many farmers in Di Linh district.

The festival is part of the Di Linh District Program for Integrated Production, Conservation and Social Security (PPI Compact Di Linh) implemented by the Di Linh District People's Committee in cooperation with IDH Organization, JDE Company, iLandscape Project and major coffee exporting companies such as ACOM, LDC, Sucafina, Tuan Loc, Intimex My Phuoc. TMTconsulting Company is the main consultant for the program.

Attending the Di Linh District Farmers' Festival were also representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province, the People's Committee of Di Linh district and departments, branches and organizations.

At the Farmers’ Festival, many rich and exciting activities took place, attracting the enthusiastic participation of a large number of farmers from 19 communes and towns in the district. Among them, the highlight was the exhibition of local agricultural products, along with the “Farmers’ Competition” which combined knowledge of sustainable coffee production and unique folk arts.

After a lively competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 First Prizes, 2 Second Prizes, and 2 Third Prizes for the Talented Farmer and Farmer Knowledge competitions. In which, the First Prize for the Talented Farmer competition belonged to the team of Cluster 2 (including the communes of Dinh Lac, Bao Thuan, and Tan Nghia); the First Prize for the Farmer Knowledge competition belonged to the team of Cluster 4 (including the communes of Tan Chau, Lien Dam, Gung Re, and Di Linh Town).

The festival has truly become a meaningful playground, where farmers can show their talents, share knowledge, joy of work and love for sustainable coffee trees. The activities not only create a cohesive and joyful atmosphere, but also contribute to honoring the creativity, understanding and solidarity of farmers in Di Linh district.

According to the Organizing Committee, after many years of participating in the PPI Compact program, farmers in Di Linh district have not only improved their farming knowledge, but have also accompanied businesses, international organizations and local authorities in the journey of responsible production, forest protection and emission reduction. Through the PPI Compact program, tens of thousands of farmers have been trained in sustainable farming techniques, reasonable use of fertilizers, increased intercropping rates and forest land protection. Farmers' productivity, income and confidence in the future have been increasingly strengthened.

Speaking at the program, representatives of IDH, JDE, UNDP and coffee purchasing enterprises LDC, ACOM, Intimex My Phuoc, Sucafina, Tuan Loc affirmed: Farmers are the center of change, they are the ones who create transparent and sustainable raw material areas, contributing significantly to helping the Vietnamese coffee industry integrate and develop responsibly. The festival is an opportunity to honor farmers who produce decently, connect the community, share achievements and spread belief in sustainable agriculture .
