After days of suffering from historic floods, the Complex of Hue Monuments, one of the World Cultural Heritages in Vietnam, has quickly revived and officially reopened to welcome visitors again. The quiet beauty of the palaces and mausoleums has once again been restored, thanks to the tireless efforts of conservationists.

Efforts for a speedy recovery
As soon as the floodwaters began to recede, a large-scale clean-up campaign was launched. Nearly 200 officers and staff from the Hue Monuments Conservation Center were mobilized and spread to key relic sites such as the Imperial City, the tombs of Tu Duc, Minh Mang, Khai Dinh and An Dinh Palace. The work was carried out under the motto "where the water recedes, we clean up".
Crews worked tirelessly to clear the waterways, clear tons of mud, and clean every ancient brick. The sounds of pumps, high-pressure hoses, and brooms echoed throughout the walkways, restoring the site to its former glory.

Discover the eternal beauty of the Ancient Capital
Despite having just gone through the challenges of nature, the beauty of Nguyen Dynasty architectural works has not diminished. Visitors returning to Hue at this time will feel more clearly the strong vitality of a heritage hundreds of years old.
Hue Imperial City
The heart of the ancient capital, home to majestic palaces such as Thai Hoa Palace and the Forbidden City, has been cleaned up. Walking on the ancient Bat Trang brick courtyards, visitors can admire the exquisite royal architecture and feel the solemn atmosphere of what was once the center of power.

Royal mausoleum system
The tombs of Tu Duc, Minh Mang, and Khai Dinh, famous for their harmonious combination of architecture and nature, have also completed the mud treatment. Each tomb has its own architectural style, reflecting the personality and historical period of the reigning king, and are must-see destinations on a journey to explore Hue.

Information for visitors
According to the announcement from the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, all tourist attractions in the Hue Heritage Site have officially opened to visitors. This is the ideal time to visit and support the city's heritage restoration efforts.
Mr. Le Cong Son, Deputy Director of the Center, affirmed that the goal is to restore the landscape and bring the relic sites back into operation as soon as possible, and will carry out maintenance to ensure the original state and durability of the works.
