According to the Ministry of Education and Training 's admission schedule, by 12:30 on August 22, educational institutions had uploaded the 10th virtual filtering results. Thus, after this time, schools have had the first round of admission benchmark results and will officially announce them from 5:00 p.m. on the same day.
This year, nearly 850,000 candidates nationwide registered for university admission with a total of about 7.6 million wishes. On average, a candidate has nearly 9 wishes - much higher than previous years. This is also the highest level in the past 5 years, leading to an increase in the "virtual" rate in admission. The reason also comes from the fact that colleges are participating in the same admission system for the first time, there is no longer the form of early admission and all admission methods are carried out in one round.
Faced with this reality, the Ministry of Education and Training has decided to add 4 more virtual filtering rounds, bringing the total to 10 rounds, ending at 12:30 on August 22. At the same time, the Ministry requires training institutions not to announce benchmark scores before the final virtual filtering round to ensure fairness, consistency and transparency throughout the system.
Despite the increase in the number of virtual screening rounds, the deadline for confirming admission for candidates remains the same. Specifically, after schools announce their benchmark scores, candidates will confirm their admission online, with the deadline being 5:00 p.m. on August 30, 2025. The Ministry believes that keeping this timeline stable will help create peace of mind for candidates and parents during the "final" stage of admission.
The Ministry of Education and Training affirmed that increasing the number of virtual filtering times is only a technical adjustment to improve the efficiency of processing wishes in the context of a sudden increase in the number of registrations. The admission process is still taking place as planned, ensuring publicity, transparency and maximum protection of candidates' rights. Therefore, candidates and parents can completely rest assured to monitor the admission results from schools within the prescribed time frame, and at the same time confirm admission according to the issued instructions.
One thing to note is that according to the Ministry's regulations, all candidates - including those who are directly admitted - must confirm their admission online on the common system. If they skip this step, they will be considered to have given up their desire to be admitted and their results will be canceled.
In addition, after confirming online admission, candidates need to closely follow the admission plan of the school they are admitted to to complete the necessary procedures. Training institutions will announce this plan in many forms such as posting on the website, official fanpage, sending emails, messages or admission notices.
With technical adjustments to the number of virtual filters and strict regulations on admission confirmation, the Ministry of Education and Training expects the 2025 admissions to take place smoothly, fairly and transparently, while minimizing the "virtual" situation, ensuring maximum benefits for nearly 850,000 candidates nationwide.

According to the plan, at 12:30 on August 22, the schools will have the results of the first round of admission scores.

The Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, all admitted candidates (including direct admitted candidates) must confirm their enrollment on the System (if they wish to study).
From September 1 to December 2025, candidates who need to apply for additional admission rounds of the training institution, follow the admission information posted on the training institution's admission information page (if the training institution applies for additional admission, candidates who have passed the admission and confirmed their enrollment will not be considered for additional admission, except in cases where the head of the training institution allows not to enroll).
Candidates submit their application documents to the training institution (according to the training institution's instructions). Candidates who have an aptitude test and use the aptitude test scores of other training institutions for admission must contact the training institution to register for the exam, take the exam, or submit their aptitude test scores.
