On the afternoon of July 1, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training officially announced the admission scores for grade 10 specialized high schools, grade 10 French bilingual program and grade 10 pilot dual baccalaureate program for the 2024-2025 school year.

Details of the benchmark scores for specialized, dual-degree, and bilingual grade 10 in 2024 are as follows:

The admission score announced for candidates applying for specialized classes is the sum of the scores of the three non-specialized Math, Literature, and Foreign Language exams (coefficient 1) plus the specialized exam score (coefficient 2). All exams must score more than 2 points.

According to the guidance of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, based on the admission scores, principals of specialized high schools and high schools with specialized classes organize the reception of admitted students according to the Ministry of Education and Training's Admission Regulations and the guidance of the Department of Education and Training.

This school year, specialized schools and schools with specialized classes in Hanoi all increased their enrollment quota for grade 10, the highest at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

Hanoi currently has 4 specialized high schools and schools with specialized classes enrolling 10th grade students. According to the decision to assign enrollment quotas by the Department of Education and Training, 4 specialized high schools and schools with specialized classes in Hanoi this year are assigned 2,970 quotas. Of which, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted enrolls the most students, 820 (770 specialized, 50 dual degree), an increase of 165 quotas. In the 2024 - 2025 school year, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted will no longer enroll non-specialized students, instead increasing the quota for specialized classes.
