Promoting the tradition of “good teaching, good learning”, Nguyen Trai Secondary School is always a pioneer in innovating teaching methods, improving the quality of teaching and learning every year. To improve students' ability to receive knowledge, taking students as the center, the school applies information technology in teaching, especially online learning software, interactive teaching, digital learning materials. The school invests in improving classrooms, libraries, laboratories, teaching equipment, smart classrooms, optimally supporting teaching. In the teaching process, students are differentiated according to their abilities, to have appropriate methods. In the 2024-2025 school year, the school has 99.9% of students achieving good training results; 76% of students achieving good learning results.
Focusing on key education, right from the beginning of the school year, the school organizes tests and assessments of students' abilities, allowing students to register to choose teams that match their abilities. Through the team selection exam, students with potential are selected for training right from the beginning of the school year. At the same time, assigning experienced teachers with high professional capacity to teach the team, ensuring continuity and inheritance. The school also invites experts and excellent teachers from Son La Specialized High School to support training in topics for excellent students. At the same time, invite former students who won national prizes to exchange, chat, and pass on their passion and experience to the school's students.
With over 24 years of experience, Ms. Truong Thanh Hoa, a Literature teacher, has spent 18 years training the excellent student team of Nguyen Trai Secondary School. In the 2024-2025 school year, the excellent student team of grades 8 and 9 that she was in charge of training won 94 prizes at the city and provincial levels. As an outstanding student of the school, last school year, Nguyen Thanh Hung, a student of class 7A3, won 5 first prizes in cultural competitions, intellectual competitions and first prize in the national IOE for grade 7.
