From the first quarter of 2024, it is forecasted that the power supply situation will face difficulties, especially during the peak of hot weather and dry months. To ensure stable power supply for the Southern region, EVNSPC has proactively implemented early power saving solutions.
In order to spread the awareness of saving electricity in society, EVNSPC has launched the Contest "Saving electricity becomes a habit" for all EVNSPC electricity customers online on the Customer Service App and the Contest "Saving electricity is saving money" for employees in EVNSPC. The contest took place from the beginning of May to July 31, 2024, and to date, over 143,300 customers have participated and over 11,350 electricity industry employees have registered to participate.

EVNSPC also organized a contest on electricity saving knowledge for household customers. As a result, by July 8, 2024, more than 155,000 customers participated, reaching over 150% of the plan. With the contestants being employees in the entire EVNSPC, there were also 11,746 participants.
In addition to the propaganda activities on economical electricity use, EVNSPC also organized the signing of cooperation agreements with 18 departments of industry and trade in the southern provinces to promote the implementation of Directive 20/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on enhancing electricity saving in the period of 2023 - 2025 and the following years.
EVNSPC directed the Power Companies in 21 Southern provinces and cities to coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade of the provinces and cities to advise on promoting activities to promote electricity saving, develop the market, encourage consumers to use energy-saving electrical equipment, and apply energy labels. Thereby, member units also increased many activities to disseminate information, mobilize people and communities to raise awareness, promote economical use of electricity, and protect the environment.
Specifically, the Corporation and its member units have drastically and synchronously implemented many electricity saving solutions to maximize the amount of electricity consumed, such as: coordinating with localities to implement many propaganda and dissemination activities on safe and economical electricity use such as: Family electricity saving, electricity saving in schools...; regularly coordinating with local authorities to visit enterprises, production facilities and households to inspect the electrical system and provide guidance on safe, economical and effective electricity use solutions.

At the same time, customers are instructed to proactively grasp information on electricity usage and monitor electricity meter readings. To directly monitor and compare daily electricity consumption, customers should download the "EVNSPC Customer Care" application on the App Store (for iOS operating system) and CH Play (for Android operating system) to mobile devices to directly monitor and look up information. When detecting any abnormalities in electricity consumption or any questions about electricity, customers can immediately contact the EVNSPC Customer Care Center via hotline 19001006 or 19009000 for guidance and support.
With efforts in all areas, in the first 6 months of 2024, EVNSPC saved 1,060 million kWh of electricity, equivalent to saving 2.3% of electricity consumption and exceeding 0.3% of the plan assigned by Vietnam Electricity Group.
To improve operational efficiency in the coming time, EVNSPC continues to coordinate with the Steering Committee for Power Supply of provinces/cities in the South to mobilize social organizations, agencies and businesses in the area to launch a movement to practice electricity saving. Promote propaganda on safe, economical and efficient use of electricity and warn of high electricity bills during the hot season.
With a proactive and positive spirit in implementing electricity saving solutions, ensuring safe and continuous electricity supply to serve customers, EVNSPC hopes to receive consensus and positive response from people in the province to join hands with the electricity industry to reduce difficulties in electricity supply.
