Netflix's live-action One Piece series is probably one of the most anticipated series due to the popularity of the famous manga of the same name by artist Oda Eiichiro. After the movie's trailer was released, among the multi-ethnic cast such as Mexican actor Iñaki Godoy playing Monkey D. Luffy, American actress Emily Rudd playing Nami, Spanish actor Taz Skylar playing Sanji, American actor Jacob Gibson playing Usopp, British actor Peter Gadiot playing Shanks, a rare Japanese actor - the country where One Piece was born - appeared in the cast: Arata Mackenyu (26 years old) playing Roronoa Zoro.
Artist Arata Mackenyu
Arata Mackenyu is the son of the late famous Japanese artist Sonny Chiba, who was famous not only in Japan but also with international audiences, including the United States. "The son of a father", Arata Mackenyu also followed his father's career in acting very early. He officially pursued an acting career in 2013.
At the age of 26, he has appeared in a series of film and television projects, including the Hollywood blockbuster Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018). In the television industry, One Piece is the latest series he has participated in.
Zoro, in the original One Piece , is a pirate hunter. He is the only character in Luffy's crew who uses a sword when fighting. Later, after more than 1,000 chapters, Zoro reveals his terrible strength, being one of the strongest pirates alongside Captain Luffy in the Straw Hat crew.
