Actor Tran Luong, monk Thien Chieu of "The Alluvial Roads", passed away

The news that actor Tran Luong passed away on April 29 due to illness made his colleagues feel sorry.

Actor Tran Luong's real name is Mai Du Luong, born in 1946 in Hue.

He chose Ho Chi Minh City as his second hometown.

His first role was in the film The Advisor (as Do Mau) directed by Le Dan in 1995. Then came a series of other roles.

Director Tran Ngoc Phong, who introduced Tran Luong to the acting profession, shared: "He is a journalist who I discovered and introduced to the film The Advisor.

After that, he became involved with the TV series he made, such as monk Thien Chieu in Nhung ngo duong phu sa , Pham Cu Luong in Ve dat Thang Long , Bong hong tra ... and recently the movie Con gio.

He also played many roles in the movies Royal Candle, Love Slope, Love Realm, Hoai Street, Green Obsession, White Collar Bear, and Petty Officer.

These are all quite important roles for an amateur actor like him, and he did them all excellently."

Without any formal education, what actor Tran Luong shows through his roles comes from observation, learning from reality, and empathizing with the characters.

Actor Tran Luong's old age is difficult. He lives alone in Saigon. He is always concerned with his roles, remembering the days of traveling with film crews.

Three years ago, he was seriously ill and received support from many artists and actors.

When the amount of money was enough for the surgery, he suggested stopping the appeal and sent his thanks to everyone.

"That is also the self-respect of an artist," director Tran Ngoc Phong shared.

In his last days, he was happy when his daughter came from Hue to take care of him.

He passed away on April 29. The funeral took place at 9am on May 2, after which his body was cremated at Binh Hung Hoa.

Now he is no longer in pain, no longer playing with his characters.
