Conditions for practicing clinical nutrition

Ms. Ngoc Anh asked, can she apply for a clinical nutrition practice license, or do she have to apply for a preventive medicine practice license?

Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Health responded as follows:

In case your master's degree in nutrition meets the requirements of "Master's degree in the field of medical examination and treatment" as prescribed in Point d, Clause 1, Article 127 of Decree No. 96/2023/ND-CP dated December 30, 2023 of the Government , you are eligible to be granted or have your scope of practice of clinical nutrition adjusted.

To determine whether your master's degree in nutrition is a "Master's degree in the field of medical examination and treatment", you need to send your degree to the competent authority that issues the operating license for identification.
