On the afternoon of June 13, information from the 954th Naval Air Brigade of the Navy said that after a rescue flight, the DHC-6 seaplane with registration number VNT-772 of this unit brought 2 patients from Truong Sa archipelago to Cam Ranh city ( Khanh Hoa ) safely.
The first patient on this rescue flight was Mr. Vo Sy Danh (born in 1981), a fisherman from Quang Nam province, who suffered from left kidney colic, renal pelvis dilation due to left ureteral stones, and urinary tract infection while working as a seafood fisherman with his colleagues on fishing boat QNa-91577 in the Truong Sa sea area.

The second person is soldier Tran Khanh Duy, Squad Leader, Engineer Brigade 131, Navy, who had a work accident and broke the lower end of both tibias. Both patients are being treated at Truong Sa Island Infirmary, but need to be transferred to the mainland for further treatment.

Immediately after receiving instructions from the Navy, the 954th Naval Air Brigade assigned Lieutenant Colonel Pham Vu Tuan, Deputy Brigade Commander, to directly take charge of the main pilot, urgently controlling the DHC-6 seaplane with registration number VNT-772 to fly to Truong Sa on the morning of June 13 and brought the two patients back to Cam Ranh at noon the same day. After that, the two patients were transferred by car to Military Hospital 87 in Nha Trang City for continued treatment.
