Novak Djokovic continued to carve his name into tennis history as he claimed his 99th victory at Roland Garros, equaling his personal record for most wins at a Grand Slam tournament, which he set at the Australian Open. In the early morning of June 1 (Vietnam time), the Serbian player defeated Austrian Filip Misolic with an overwhelming score of 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the fourth round of the prestigious clay court tournament.

Djokovic dominated the two-hour, nine-minute encounter on Philippe Chatrier Court, constantly changing the pace of the 23-year-old and aggressively attacking key points to advance to the fourth round in Paris for the 16th consecutive year.
A three-time Roland Garros champion, the 38-year-old Serbian is aiming to improve on his record at this year's tournament and claim his 25th Grand Slam title. Having yet to drop a set in the French capital, Djokovic will next face British left-hander Cameron Norrie. Norrie beat compatriot Jacob Fearnley 6-3, 7-6(1), 6-2 to reach the fourth round at the major for the first time. Djokovic leads the head-to-head record against Norrie 5-0, including a recent win in Geneva last week.
Djokovic's form at Roland Garros this year has been a strong comeback after opening-round losses on clay in Monte Carlo and Madrid in April. He found his rhythm at the ATP 250 event in Geneva, where he beat Hubert Hurkacz in the final to claim his 100th tour-level title.
The ATP No. 6 looked comfortable in his opening three matches in Paris, beating Mackenzie McDonald in the first round and Corentin Moutet in the second. He will be hoping to continue making history next week.

For Filip Misolic, this is his first appearance in the third round of a major tournament. Although this is his first time facing Djokovic in a competitive match, the 23-year-old had the opportunity to train with the former world No. 1 ahead of last year's US Open. Misolic's impressive performance in France, which included wins over Buyunchaokete and Denis Shapovalov, has helped him rise 13 places to No. 140 in the ATP live rankings.
Jannik Sinner was in devastating form at Roland Garros, easily overcoming Jiri Lehecka in just 94 minutes to book his place in the fourth round. The No. 1 seed put in a classy performance, winning 6-0, 6-1, 6-2 on the night of May 31. He maintained his unbeaten set record at Roland Garros, extending his winning streak at Grand Slam tournaments to 17.
According to statistics, Sinner only lost nine points on serve throughout the match. Sharing after the match, Sinner said: "I played really well. Especially in the first two and a half sets, then he served very well, very bravely. He served and volleyed very well. Winning makes me very happy. My coach, Simone Vagnozzi, celebrated his birthday yesterday. Usually when he celebrates his birthday, I don't play well. So this victory is for him."

On a cloudy day on Court Suzanne Lenglen, Sinner showcased his disciplined baseline play, combined with Lehecka's excellent returns, which were evident in a series of decisive returns, including two powerful forehands in the penultimate game of the second set.
With an impressive 15-1 record on the season, Sinner will next face Andrey Rublev at Roland Garros. The Italian leads the 17th-seeded Rublev 6-3 in the head-to-head series. Rublev advanced to the fourth round without playing after home player Arthur Fils withdrew due to injury.
Sinner will complete a 52nd consecutive week at No. 1 in the ATP rankings next week, having reached the fourth round in 14 of his last 15 appearances at majors. The Italian has a 19-5 record at Roland Garros, notably reaching the semi-finals last year before losing in five sets to Carlos Alcaraz.
In his third-round match against world No. 34 Lehecka, Sinner hit 30 winners against just nine unforced errors, taking his total of consecutive wins against players outside the top 20 to 64. In Paris, Sinner and fifth seed Jack Draper are likely to face off in the quarterfinals. Draper defeated young star Joao Fonseca in three sets to advance to the fourth round.

At Philippe Chatrier, last year's runner-up Alexander Zverev also booked his place in the fourth round for the eighth consecutive time after defeating Flavio Cobolli 6-2, 7-6(4), 6-1, ending the Hamburg champion's seven-match winning streak.
Zverev, who suffered a serious ankle injury that required surgery in the 2022 semi-final against Rafael Nadal, spoke about his special relationship with the tournament: "This court is very special to me. I have had some of the best memories of my life on this court, but I also have some of the worst memories on this court. This is a love story that has not yet had a happy ending, but I hope one day it will."
Zverev is the eighth man in the Open Era to make eight consecutive appearances beyond the fourth round at Roland Garros. The 28-year-old German now boasts an impressive 37-9 record at major clay-court tournaments.
Zverev's season has been a mix of ups and downs since reaching the Grand Slam final at the Australian Open in January. He suffered opening-round losses at Indian Wells and Monte Carlo before winning the ATP 500 title in Munich. At Roland Garros, Zverev will continue his bid for a maiden major title against Tallon Griekspoor, who overcame American Ethan Quinn 4-6, 6-1, 6-7(2), 6-1, 6-4.
