The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just announced the results of reviewing applications for direct admission to grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year, with a total of 944 candidates eligible for admission under this category.
According to the Department, these subjects include 82 candidates who won national and international prizes in the field of physical education and sports , 105 candidates with physical disabilities, and 758 candidates with intellectual disabilities.
Direct admission is intended to facilitate access to high schooleducation for students with special achievements or health problems.
The 2025 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City took place on June 6-7, with a total of 76,435 candidates registering.
Candidates take 3 exams: literature, math (120 minutes), foreign language (90 minutes). If applying to a specialized school, they will take an additional exam on specialized subjects (150 minutes).
Meanwhile, 115 public high schools enroll more than 70,000 students. The private school system has nearly 19,500 places.
