Implementing Decision 1336 dated December 8, 2020 of the Prime Minister , the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision 3106 to expand the model of intergenerational self-help clubs in the province. After 5 years of implementation, the whole province has established 105 clubs, exceeding the set target by more than 200%, with more than 6,100 members participating. The clubs operate in a variety of effective areas such as: health care, income generation, volunteers helping members, community support, and protecting the rights of the elderly.
Some performances by senior members at the conference
To date, Binh Phuoc has a total of 151 intergenerational self-help clubs, with an operating fund of over 7 billion VND. Of these, 96 clubs provide loans to members for economic development; 100% of clubs maintain regular blood pressure measurements and physical exercises; 105 clubs have a team of volunteers to support the elderly in their daily activities.
