At the exam site of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (District 5), one of the city's 10 specialized exam sites, there were many candidates from other provinces and cities coming to take the exam.

Many parents carried bags and suitcases, asking for time off from work to accompany their children in this important exam. Mr. MN (50 years old) said that his wife and daughter took a bus from An Giang province to Ho Chi Minh City at 4:00 a.m. and arrived at the exam site at around 8:30 a.m. Mr. N. kept their belongings, let his daughter go to the shopping mall to change into her school uniform, and take care of her personal hygiene after a long journey.

"I have great confidence in my child in this exam because he has had a very good self-study process. Whether he studies in Ho Chi Minh City or An Giang, his family will support him a lot. Mr. Ngo Lap Thu, Head of the examination site at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, said that this year's examination site has 633 candidates, 32 examination rooms and 11 specialized subjects. Of these, integrated subjects and Chinese are chosen by many candidates.

For candidates from other provinces and cities coming to take the exam, the examination council instructs the invigilators to pay special attention to instructing them about the route, location of the examination room, toilets and other necessary areas. This is to help them reduce confusion and be more confident when entering the exam.

Also this morning, at the exam site of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, a special case of a candidate in need of medical assistance was recorded.

"This candidate has type 1 diabetes and uses a blood sugar monitoring device on his arm, similar to a watch. However, this device has the ability to contact his parents' phones, which is a violation of exam regulations. Our council will review and meet directly with the parents to guide how to handle the situation," said Mr. Thu.

This testing site has 701 candidates taking the test with 33 testing rooms and 3 backup testing rooms. Each testing room has no more than 24 candidates.

On the morning of June 6, more than 76,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City will take the first exam, literature, with a duration of 120 minutes. The exam will open at 7:30 a.m. and candidates will begin taking the test at 8 a.m.
