-On October 20, a working delegation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee led by Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to people affected by storms and floods in the communes of Yen Binh, Thien Tan, Van Nham, Tuan Son and Huu Lung.
The delegation included comrades: Nguyen Hoang Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Luong Trong Quynh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Office and a number of provincial departments and branches.

During the program, the delegation presented each commune with 500 million VND from the “Relief” Fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. At the same time, at each commune, the delegation presented 10 gifts to 10 households that suffered heavy losses due to natural disasters.

In the communes, the Provincial Party Secretary visited, encouraged, and shared the difficulties of the people after the natural disaster. He hoped that the people would continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, self-reliance, overcome difficulties, quickly restore labor and production to soon stabilize their lives.

He also acknowledged and appreciated the proactive, timely and decisive actions of the local Party Committee, authorities and functional forces in responding to and coordinating the mobilization of resources to help people overcome the consequences of storms and floods. At the same time, he requested the provincial departments, branches, Party Committees and authorities of communes to continue to coordinate well in this work, gradually stabilizing people's lives.
*In the program, on the same day, the working delegation visited and surveyed the Goc Hong overflow area (across Trung River), in Tan Nhien village, Van Nham commune.

Goc Hong culvert is a place that is often flooded during the rainy season, affecting 155 households in Tan Nhien village, Van Nham commune. When the water rises, people in the village have to take a detour, which takes a lot of time and money, or travel by boat, which is very unsafe. At present, the water level through the culvert is still high and cannot circulate.

Faced with the above reality, Van Nham commune has proposed two options: building a rigid bridge or a suspension bridge across Trung River to ensure convenient and safe traffic for people.
After surveying and grasping the situation, the Provincial Party Secretary assigned relevant departments and branches to coordinate in surveying, calculating, and advising on feasible and effective plans to create favorable and safe conditions for people to travel, trade, and develop the local economy and society.
