The National Assembly Delegation of Hoa Binh Province supervises the implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection.

Luong Son Industrial Park is a multi-industry industrial park with a scale of 83,082 hectares; the total land area assigned is 74.09 hectares. The industrial park has been invested in by the Company to build and complete synchronous technical infrastructure items, ensuring the environment (leveling, power supply system, water supply, drainage, wastewater treatment, traffic system, lighting, communication, trees and landscape) put into operation, exploitation to serve secondary investors.

Currently, the Industrial Park is creating jobs for about 15 thousand workers, mainly local workers. The industries attracting investment in the Industrial Park are clean industries that cause little environmental pollution such as electronics assembly, garment, plastic injection, and functional food production. The Industrial Park has completed the construction of a centralized wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 3,000 ^m3 /day and night; installed an automatic wastewater monitoring system and transmitted data according to regulations. In general, the Industrial Park has complied with and complied with the law on environmental protection; focused on investing in equipment and means for environmental protection as required.

At the monitoring session, delegates focused on discussing and analyzing the achieved results, frankly pointing out the shortcomings and limitations in the implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 took effect in Luong Son Industrial Park.

Representatives of the Luong Son Industrial Park and a number of businesses proposed and recommended: the province should replace and upgrade the drainage culvert across National Highway 6 near the gate of the Luong Son Tunnel Brick Factory flowing into the Bui River; adjust and re-sign the land lease contract; continue to maintain the organization of training courses to disseminate knowledge on the environment, fire prevention, fire fighting, food hygiene and safety; increase the frequency of inspection and supervision of businesses; support green credit policies, tax exemptions and reductions for businesses investing in clean technology; have more detailed instructions on climate change.

Previously, at the monitoring session at Thien Ha Hoa Binh Company Limited and Trung Son Cement Factory, representatives of the two units also proposed and recommended that authorities at all levels should consider allocating environmental protection fee revenue for mineral exploitation, supporting environmental protection and investment in localities where mineral exploitation activities are carried out according to regulations; speeding up the progress of the Trung Son Cement Factory resettlement project to clear the site and relocate households out of the safe radius.

Speaking at the conclusion of the monitoring session, Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Dang Bich Ngoc - Head of the monitoring delegation acknowledged and highly appreciated the implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 took effect by the units in recent times.

In the coming time, the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board needs to continue to coordinate with relevant agencies, units, and localities to organize delegations to grasp the situation and inspect enterprises in Luong Son Industrial Park; pay attention to propaganda work, open training courses related to environmental protection; promptly remove difficulties for enterprises. Luong Son Industrial Park and enterprises should properly implement the Law on Environmental Protection.

Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Dang Bich Ngoc also requested that Thien Ha Hoa Binh One Member Co., Ltd. and Trung Son Cement Factory continue to coordinate with relevant agencies, units, and localities to effectively implement the Law on Environmental Protection and occupational safety and hygiene; continue to have many long-term solutions to minimize impacts on the environment; effectively implement social security policies for the locality and surrounding people. Regarding the proposals and recommendations of Luong Son Industrial Park and some enterprises, the Supervisory Delegation of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies will accept and synthesize and report to competent authorities for consideration and resolution as soon as possible.
