Central survey delegation works with the province on ethnic work in the new situation

On the afternoon of October 31, the Central survey delegation worked with Nghe An province to summarize 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 65 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 24, dated March 12, 2003 of the Party Central Committee (9th tenure) on ethnic work in the new situation.

The Central survey delegation includes comrade Trieu Tai Vinh - Deputy Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee; comrade Y Thong - Deputy Minister, Deputy Head of the Ethnic Committee.

Ethnic minorities in Nghe An have more than 491,000 people, accounting for 14.76% of the province's population, with 5 ethnic minorities with a long history of living there: Thai, Tho, Kho Mu, Mong, O Du.

Comrade Phan Thanh Doai - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission reported on the implementation results of Conclusion 65-KL/TW of Nghe An province.

The work of organizing the dissemination of the Resolution and conclusions on ethnic work was seriously and promptly carried out by all levels, sectors, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations in the province.

Comrade Luong Van Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee reported on the province's ethnic work.

The Party Committee and the government have issued programs, plans and projects to concretize the Central Committee's Resolutions, conclusions and directives on ethnic affairs; fully and effectively implemented the tasks and solutions set out in Resolution No. 24 and Conclusion No. 65 of the Central Committee.

Regarding the economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, in addition to the central government's policy of support and incentives for ethnic minority and mountainous areas, Nghe An province also has other support and incentive policies. The total budget capital to support investment in development for ethnic minority and mountainous areas according to the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 is 8,859 billion VND, of which the provincial budget is more than 3,000 billion VND.
