This is a program organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (SVC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 3 and 4.
After the incense offering ceremony at the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan Temple, and commemorating the Hung Kings at the Lower Temple, Middle Temple and Upper Temple, the overseas Vietnamese delegation attended the Ceremony to report achievements and show gratitude to their ancestors.

On behalf of the overseas Vietnamese delegation, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Trung Kien said that currently, the overseas Vietnamese community has more than 6 million people in 130 countries and territories. In 2024, the overseas Vietnamese community worked together to overcome difficulties and challenges and made important contributions to the homeland, with nearly 16 billion USD in remittances sent to Vietnam and 58 billion VND in contributions from overseas Vietnamese to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.
Overseas Vietnamese associations, intellectuals and businessmen are actively promoting their role in connecting domestic and international relations. Along with that, activities to preserve and promote traditional culture such as Vietnamese New Year, Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, and teaching and learning Vietnamese in our overseas communities have contributed to promoting and enhancing the image and position of Vietnam in the eyes of international friends.

The Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty 2025 organized by the People's Committee of Phu Tho province from March 29 to April 7 (from March 1 to 10 of the lunar calendar) at the Hung Temple historical relic site, Hung Vuong Square, Viet Tri city.
Within the framework of this year's Festival, Phu Tho province organizes a series of unique cultural, sports and tourism events. The activities are imbued with national spirit, arousing love for the homeland and country, bringing each Vietnamese person back to their sacred roots.
Moved when she joined the overseas Vietnamese group to offer incense to the Hung Kings, Ms. Vu Thi Huyen (overseas Vietnamese from Korea) said that she could clearly feel the sacred atmosphere of the Hung Kings Temple. Coming here, to her, the two words "compatriots" became more sacred than ever.
"The incense offering ceremony at Hung Temple is not only a journey back to the source but also a reminder of the origin, of the responsibility of every Vietnamese person, no matter where they are, what they do, to turn to their homeland, to contribute their efforts to build the country. I will educate my children and grandchildren, share with the younger generations of overseas Vietnamese, no matter where they are, to remember their roots, ancestors and the good culture of the nation", Ms. Vu Thi Huyen shared.

According to Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs Nguyen Trung Kien, organizing the Overseas Vietnamese Delegation to attend the Hung King's Commemoration Ceremony 2025 not only demonstrates the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking water", but is also a regular activity in the Committee's 2025 work program. The activity strengthens the connection between overseas Vietnamese and their homeland and country, promotes the tradition of turning to their roots and showing gratitude to their ancestors; thereby, contributing to preserving and promoting good cultural values in the Vietnamese community around the world, strengthening and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
On the same day, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Phu Tho Province Du Van Quang received a delegation of overseas Vietnamese.
Mr. Du Van Quang said that Phu Tho has entered the group of provinces with an economic scale of over 100,000 billion VND. In the past three years, the province has always been in the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest export turnover in the country.
Emphasizing that Hung Temple is a symbol of great Vietnamese solidarity, returning to the nation's roots, Mr. Du Van Quang affirmed that Phu Tho province always welcomes and wishes to continue receiving the attention of our people to join hands in building the homeland of the Hung Kings in particular, and the whole country in general, to develop more and more sustainably.
Chairman of the State Committee on Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Trung Kien hopes that the leaders of Phu Tho province will continue to pay attention to overseas Vietnamese work, closely coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee on Overseas Vietnamese in bringing Conclusion No. 12-KL/TW of the Politburo on overseas Vietnamese work in the new situation into life; attract overseas Vietnamese resources to serve the socio-economic development of the province.
