Muong village cultural house, Son Thuy commune was built spaciously.

Ban Chanh, Son Thuy commune has 64 households with 277 people, mainly Thai ethnic people. In previous years, the area of ​​the village cultural house was narrow and degraded, affecting the community activities of the people in the village. In 2024, with the attention of the State, the village cultural house was built spaciously and put into use, meeting the people's expectations.

Mr. Lu Van Du, one of the households donating land to build the Chanh village cultural house, said: "Realizing my responsibility in the new rural construction movement, I voluntarily donated about 1,000 square meters of land for the village to build the village cultural house. Seeing the village cultural house built spaciously, I am very happy, because I have contributed part of my efforts to the development of the village. When the cultural house is completed, the villagers will have a place to meet, exchange, and connect everyone in the village."

From 2022 to now, Son Thuy commune has 7 newly built and repaired village cultural houses, of which 6 were newly built with a total investment of more than 12 billion VND. Having a place for community activities, the cultural - artistic, physical education - sports movements of Son Thuy commune have developed strongly. Currently, 100% of the villages in the commune have volleyball teams and art teams that attract a large number of people to participate. Currently, Son Thuy is mobilizing all resources to repair and rebuild some degraded cultural houses.

Not only Son Thuy commune but also many communes and towns in Quan Son district have mobilized all resources to build cultural houses in villages and neighborhoods. Many cultural houses have been built spaciously, cleanly, and fully equipped with tables, chairs, amplifiers, speakers, and radios. According to the report of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Quan Son district, from 2022 to present, with the attention of the State, 45 cultural houses in villages and neighborhoods have been newly built and repaired, of which 20 cultural houses have been newly built with a total investment of nearly 55 billion VND.

Along with focusing on building cultural houses in villages and neighborhoods, Quan Son district regularly pays attention to renovating playgrounds and training grounds so that people have places to practice physical exercise and sports. Currently, the district has 9 stadiums, more than 100 volleyball courts... The cultural and sports facilities invested in and put into operation are not only places to propagate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and local regulations to the people, but also places to organize meetings, cultural, artistic and sports activities, preserve and promote traditional cultural values; connect members of the community, contribute to maintaining political security and social order and safety.

Mr. Le Van Tho, Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Quan Son district, said: Based on the programs, projects and plans of the province on the field of culture and sports, the guiding documents of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Quan Son district has focused on organizing the implementation of cultural criteria in the construction of new rural areas. At the same time, implementing Decision No. 4794/QD-UBND dated December 31, 2022 on approving the Project "Building and developing cultural and sports institutions in Thanh Hoa province by 2030. Currently, most villages and neighborhoods in the district have cultural houses for community activities.

In addition to the achieved results, in the construction of cultural and sports institutions in Quan Son district, there are still many degraded cultural houses that need to be repaired and renovated. The mobilization of social resources to build cultural houses in villages and neighborhoods is still limited due to the difficult lives of the people; lack of land to build cultural houses that meet the standards prescribed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; lack of equipment for cultural house activities...

“In the coming time, Quan Son district will continue to mobilize all resources to build and repair cultural houses in villages and neighborhoods; expand the campus; purchase more sports and exercise equipment to meet the daily needs of the people. Promote propaganda and mobilize socialization to build cultural and sports institutions to contribute to completing the criteria of cultural facilities in the new rural construction, improving the spiritual life of ethnic minorities in the district,” Mr. Le Van Tho shared.
