In the previous days, although the weather was cold, there was still sunshine, sometimes even harsh sunshine, but on April 29, the weather was cloudy and there was light rain. Training in cold and rainy conditions was more difficult than usual, but it was also an opportunity for the soldiers to practice adapting to all situations.

To prepare for the first joint training session at Red Square, on the afternoon of April 29, the Vietnam People's Army delegation departed from their residence towards the central area of ​​Moscow. According to the plan, the joint training session will begin on the night of April 29 (Moscow time), or early morning of April 30 (Vietnam time). Thus, the Vietnam People's Army delegation and the delegations of the countries participating in the parade on Red Square will have an all-night joint training session in cold conditions.

Previously, Colonel Nguyen Hong Truong, Head of the General Military Department, Army Officer School 1, Deputy Head of the Vietnam People's Army delegation participating in the parade on Red Square, thoroughly explained the joint training plan to the entire delegation, requiring officers and students to clearly define their ideology and determination, do a good job of preparation, be united, confident, and closely coordinate to successfully complete the first joint training session on Red Square.
