Mr. Mai Anh Tuan with the initiative "Improving the backrest shaping bar (plastic material)".
After graduating from the Faculty of Industrial Electricity at the intermediate level of Hung Yen University of Technical Education in 2011, Mr. Mai Anh Tuan worked in the complete machine repair department of Annora Vietnam Shoes Company Limited. During his work, he quickly caught up with the work and gradually matured. He learned from his colleagues and took advantage of the time to research more documents and improve his knowledge to improve his professional capacity.
Responding to the emulation movements launched by the union, he actively studied, trained to improve his qualifications, and passionately researched to find innovative solutions and initiatives to increase labor productivity. Sharing about his working and creative process, Mr. Tuan said: "During the years working at the enterprise, I always thought about how to complete the work as quickly and effectively as possible. Therefore, I am always close to the work, the machines as well as the people, if I care about it, I can recognize any change in it. If the machine systems are broken and not repaired in time, it will cause the production process to stagnate, significantly affecting productivity and product quality. Therefore, my colleagues and I always work overtime to maintain the machines, at the same time think and find ways to improve techniques to increase labor productivity, save raw materials and fuel, and ensure safety in production".
During his work, Mr. Tuan has actively researched and proposed many technical innovations, while reducing labor for workers, bringing billions of dong in benefits to the company. One of the important and valuable innovations is the solution "Improving the back-bag shaping bar (plastic material)".
The initiative comes from the production reality at Annora Vietnam Shoes Company Limited, at the stage of pressing and patching the toe of the shoe surface, 4 machines are needed, equivalent to 4 people sitting and operating the machine. The standard heat pressing for 1 shoe surface is 20 seconds, but the time to put the shoe surface into the machine is only 3 seconds, so the worker has to sit and wait for 17 seconds before continuing to operate. From the concern, thinking of finding a solution to make a stand to raise the machine so that the worker can stand and operate, so they can move and install the goods at other machine positions. After applying the initiative of pressing and patching the toe of the shoe surface, 1 person can operate 4 machines, the company has 28 machines and only needs 7 people to operate.
Currently, Mr. Tuan's initiative has been applied to 10 factories and all types of reinforced toe-patched pressed shoes; benefiting the company over 1.5 billion VND/year. The initiative helps reduce the amount of waste when reporting scrap, contributing to environmental protection and has been applied to factories in Hoa Loi Group.
In addition to promoting technical innovation initiatives, Mr. Tuan is also an active union member participating in activities launched by the union organization. He proposed and contributed ideas to the company's union executive committee on policies and laws directly related to the legitimate rights and interests of workers. He set an example in emulation movements and campaigns launched by unions at all levels, such as the "Good workers, creative workers" movement; the "75 thousand initiatives to overcome difficulties and develop" program associated with studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh...
Comrade Nguyen Van Tron, Chairman of the Trade Union of Annora Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. said: “Mr. Mai Anh Tuan is an active and enthusiastic union member who always completes his assigned tasks well. His initiatives help the company save time and production costs. Mr. Tuan's love for his job and his diligence and creativity are always an example for union members and workers in the company to learn and follow.”
