On the afternoon of April 25, My Quy Tay Border Guard Station organized a ceremony to present 100 national flags to the Management Board of Hamlet 6, My Quy Dong Commune, Duc Hue District, Long An Province.

This meaningful activity was carried out on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and to celebrate International Labor Day (May 1).

This is not only a symbolic activity, but also a way for border guards to express their feelings, gratitude and responsibility towards the people in the border areas - the "living milestones" of the Fatherland.

Presenting flags on holidays and Tet has been carried out by My Quy Tay Border Guard Station in recent years.

In areas far from urban centers, the lives of people on the border are still full of difficulties. However, the companionship of border guards with specific tasks such as handing out flags, supporting livelihoods, providing medical examinations, and giving gifts has alleviated those hardships.

The relationship between the army and the people at the border is increasingly close and intertwined, like a silent source that nurtures patriotism and national pride in each citizen.

The national flag fluttering in the wind also has the meaning of educating patriotism.

The national flag awarding program carried out by My Quy Tay Border Guard Station not only contributes to building a civilized lifestyle and a beautiful image for the new rural area, but is also a vivid visual educational activity.

“The flags hung up are also a gentle reminder for today's youth to live responsibly towards the country and be grateful to previous generations who fought and sacrificed to regain independence and freedom for the Vietnamese people,” said union member Nguyen Van Thanh, residing in My Quy Tay commune.
