This year, the event has about 600 Japanese and foreign enterprises participating in introducing and promoting their products. Notably, 2 Japanese enterprises opened booths at Caferes Japan 2023 to introduce Vietnamese coffee, ham, and bread.

Ms. Dinh Anh Minh, Director of AIKAI GROUP Company, said that the coffee introduced at Caferes Japan 2023 is a high-quality Arabica and Moka specialty coffee product grown in Cau Dat ( Lam Dong ). This enterprise is the representative of the Japanese partner distributing Cau Dat coffee products in the Japanese market.

"During the 3 days of participating in Caferes Japan 2023, coffee, along with bread and ham, were the products that attracted a lot of Japanese consumers' interest, who used the products to experience them and all had good reviews about the quality," said Ms. Minh.

Mr. Ta Duc Minh assessed that Caferes Japan, held annually, is a good opportunity to promote and introduce high-quality products to consumers in Japan. However, Vietnamese enterprises have not paid much attention to this exhibition. The booths with Vietnamese products here are all invested and participated by Japanese enterprises.

According to Mr. Ta Duc Minh, Vietnamese coffee products are increasingly occupying a high market share in the Japanese market. Of the 10 ASEAN countries exporting coffee to Japan, Vietnam accounts for 80%. Statistics for the first 6 months of the year show that Vietnam's coffee exports to Japan reached 161.2 million USD, up 5.1% over the same period in 2022.

"It is forecasted that from now until the end of the year, coffee exports to Japan will continue to increase as this country has many festive seasons, Christmas, New Year. In the first 6 months of the year, Japan welcomed more than 10 million tourists and the number of visitors will increase towards the end of the year, Vietnamese coffee and other beverage and food products will have more room for export," said Mr. Minh.
