Pioneering enterprise leading the digital transformation process in Dak Lak

The proportion of digital economy in the province's economic structure is increasing significantly, demonstrated by the increasing number of enterprises and cooperatives applying digital technology to all stages of production, business and management processes.

A typical example is Dak Lak 2-9 Import Export Company Limited, which has quickly recognized the importance of digital transformation to enhance competitiveness, improve management efficiency and expand the market. Currently, the enterprise is using more than 20 different software for management and operation, and at the same time applying a product traceability system to each farmer's household.

Speaking to Dak Lak Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Deputy General Director of Dak Lak 2-9 Import-Export Company Limited, said that the company is building an “ Agricultural Management Digital Map” for about 50,000 coffee growing households in the province. This map contains detailed data on area, crop type, garden structure and productivity, thereby helping the company orient input support, credit and production linkage.

In particular, this transparent data system also helps to prove to major import markets such as the EU that Dak Lak coffee products are sustainably cultivated, do not cause deforestation and can be traced to each garden. In the future, this digital map can also support businesses in demonstrating the level of carbon emission reduction, meeting the strict requirements of developed markets.

In order to create a solid foundation for digital transformation, Dak Lak province is focusing on investing in building a synchronous and modern digital infrastructure, ensuring broadband network and 4G, 5G coverage to remote areas and ethnic minority areas.

Along with that, telecommunications and technology enterprises in the area, especially Viettel Dak Lak, have actively coordinated with the province in deploying many important technology systems to serve the management, operation and provision of public services.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of Viettel Dak Lak, said that the unit is advising the province on many solutions to realize the Central's resolutions on digital transformation, focusing on six key task groups including digital institutions, digital infrastructure, digital platforms, digital government, information security and developing priority areas.

Viettel Dak Lak also accompanies the new communes and wards after the merger in building a digital transformation architecture framework, helping local authorities clearly define specific and practical action steps.

According to Ms. Ra Lan Truong Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, at the "Dak Lak Digital" event and many other activities, information technology enterprises have committed to accompany the province throughout the digital transformation process. The Department of Science and Technology is also advising the province to sign strategic cooperation agreements with many large enterprises, from the public to private sectors, especially those interested in supporting the development of remote and isolated areas. The goal of the program is to mobilize business resources to participate in the peak of "100 days of digital literacy", while supporting human resources, technology and infrastructure for the comprehensive digitalization process.

The above results show that the Dak Lak business community has been playing a core role in the digital transformation process, accompanying local authorities and Party committees to bring technology into all areas of life.
